Um, considering WWE is the main franchise of professional wrestling, i'm pretty sure his original response was correct.. Says you. If you're gonna talk about pro wrestling history and only mention WWE events, then just say WWE history. Be fair to the others too. List of Pro Wrestling promotions WorldwideIf a dog sh*ts in the woods and nobody steps in it does it still end up on Destination America... The last remaining non-WWE wrestling promotion that could be talked about in a universal context like it matters died on March 26, 2001. Everything else is just comparing events in the NFL to events in the CFL, so nonsense.

Sting appearing was cool.
I wish he had grown out/dyed his hair though. I'm not sure the music change was necessary either.
Regardless, hell froze over and Sting appeared in a WWE ring.

From the sounds of it this interference sounds like Austin at Backlash 2000 i.e. 'evening the odds' for the guy who deserves to win (but not unfairly tipping them in his favour), getting a huge pop but keeping focus on the guy in the ring, and not detracting from that guy's win in any way. Basically, incredibly well-booked interference. Bingo Mike. Great post.....and not a stong or comment about Stings hair to be seen. Knew you'd like that comparison with the amount of times we've discussed Backlash 2000 in the Classic Board! Also, can anyone think of an example of interference done this well between Backlash 2000 and now? I can't, but my knowledge isn't as encyclopaedic as that of many members here.

Raven's was always pretty good.

I was just pointing out that there are plenty of other pro wrestling promotions out there, not just WWE and since you brought it up, TNA too. I was not comparing them at all to the WWE. Always gotta jump the gun too soon, eh? The fact that someone has to mention pro wrestling history and only results to one promotion as the whole, is an insult to me. I have what is called an opinion and I enjoy a bit of variety and not stale "entertainment", so sue the sh*t outta me.

Right after ing survivor series just happened? Ugh, you're entitled to your opinion, but just know that if your opinion was a person, it'd be an bunghole

What happened last night was one of the biggest things in PRO WRESTLING history. The fact is that WWE is the biggest pro wrestling promotion in history, Sting is one of the biggest names in history and those together make it one of the biggest moments in history.

Ugh, you're entitled to your opinion, but just know that if your opinion was a person, it'd be an bunghole I'm already a A.hole, so what does that mean to me? I supposed I had no chance of avoiding a backlash being the only cat in this dog house anyway. I love how everyone thinks now that Mr. Sting has arrived, that WWE's platform is about to change shape for the better. Nope. Sorry to say it, but boy buckethead will still be running the pack and calling the main events; and if Sting dares to cross his path eventually, well... you know the rest. So prepare to be disappointed once more. For the record, my brothers, being the true diehard WWE fan that they are, did watch SS last night; and said that until Sting showed up and confronted HHH, that the night as a whole was just another disappointment. But you don't care, it's all about Sting. Enjoy it for as much as you can get outta his overtime career. For just like every other novelty thing, eventually they start to ware out and fast. And to anyone reading this, let me just say that a few champagne bottles did pop last light when the articles hit home. I couldn't had be more happier about reading this news, only because now all the annoying Sting&WWE rumors can die and stay dead; and the IWC can finally get back on the track to bigger and better things down the road for your so called, pro wrestling history.

Just as predicted, Sting's return doesn't mean anything!
Nice follow up on RAW to the Sting storyline, WWE!

Locking this one up. We know he appeared at SSeries and we now have an official Sting discussion thread. Also? There seems to be a weird argument brewing in here.
