I usually like elite a lot better because I started out mostly just collecting deluxe impact so I was used to the articulation and I've got some basics where the legs are warped so the feet are literally shoved together... But I've got a Brodus Clay basic and I don't even think about it being basic the legs have a good stance and it's got all the tattoos. I don't think I'd want to spread his legs or bend his chest anyway... Do you think on big guys like that having the basic style legs makes them more stable anyway? I would think in some cases maybe with the elite hips a figure of that size might wobble. So to me it seems like maybe basics are at least just as good if not better than elites for big guys but Elites are definitely better for most. Thoughts?

I prefer basic Big E to his elites. Same with Big Show.

The Andre E29 is pretty good. I don't mind it. I think the new E31 Vader is also pretty excellent.
Though B40 Khali is great, because it captures his weird shaped torso that I don't think you could have done as an Elite torso.

I kinda prefer Basics for big guys......Tensai, Brodus, Henry & Big E are all better as basics IMO. Ditto for the upcoming Rusev.

im really sorry but imo elites are better at any aspect possible. i only buy basics because usually they debut new headsculpt i can put on an elite body. or only because i dont have or they didnt make elite of the guy (khali, titus, xavier etc). so yeah brodus clay is better as an elite, as well as big e. i had both versions and i sold the basics. theyre just not as fun and dont capture the guy's accurate body shape and overall look as elite does

There's only one BIG GUY brother and his name is The Ryback.
While I agree that some basics have better molds - lookin at you, Jack Swagger - I'll always prefer the more articulation.

Yeah, I think so. Basics are way better for playing that's for sure. not really elites are way better to play with cause they have the extra articulation so they can do power bombs and all that

The Great Khali was best suited for a basic figure. I remember some people on here hounding for an Elite Khali

I sometimes like basics better for big guys, but the legs still piss me off.

I agree! I've always thought this. Big Show, Great Khali, Mark Henry ... these are all guys that I only own as Basics. I never saw a reason to upgrade to Elites.

This is case specific for me. On one hand, I enjoy my Basic Khali and feel an Elite for him would be too much articulation. On the other hand, my plans on buying the Basic two pack of Rowan and Harper was crushed when I saw how awful Rowan's legs looked. He just looks like he was hacked off at the knees and reattached somehow. So in that instance, Rowan- who is a big man- works better as an Elite for me. I don't own Big Show, Mark Henry or too many other big guys actually, though I guess what applies to Rowan also applies to Harper, but I do kind of get annoyed by the chest piece on Vader as an Elite because he really shouldn't be able to look forward like that and hide the "Vader Time" text. Though I'm not sure a Basic of him would have had less problems (And then there is the accessories issue as well), so I'm fine with him that way. So yeah, maybe the only guys so far I prefer as Elites over Basics that are "big guys" are Harper and Rowan.

You had your eyes examined lately?

It's not just big guys imo, it also applies to guys like Bryan, who always looks way too skinny in Elite form. There are plenty of guys I think look better in Basic form. I just display so it makes virtually no difference to me on Basic vs Elite as long as they look great.

Even when the basic mold is more accurate, i still prefer elites. Basics are just too 'rigid'.

So many figures vary on a case to case basis. Some elite Torsos are better than their basic counterparts and vice versa, and then some figure to figure. Hard to explain, but I think basic Triple H looks bad compared to Elite in terms of torso sculpting which has subtle differences all over but think that Batista is better in basic form for those same subtleties.
