Caught the "free preview" of the new Macho Man documentary, which looks incredible..... Spotted at least, a variation of the infamous "green star-trunks" Macho Man that the Mattel All Stars version may have been patterned after.... I realize they're not quite "neon".... I apologize if his has been posted before, or if no one cares..... I thought I remembered there being some debate whether he actually wore green star trunks. I'm pretty sure he's wearing green knee pads in this very brief clip, so I guess it's not the "full" All Stars attire..... The documentary looks fantastic - I think I'm going to try to get it for Christmas. I didn't know that they were considering making Missy Hyatt the original valet for Macho Man (instead of Miss Elizabeth) - I wonder how history would have been altered if they had gone that direction! They also speak a bit with the man who designed Macho Man's many colorful wardrobes..... great stuff!

I thought he was wearing yellow knee pads with those trunks? Or at least that's what I could've sworn I seen. And I did put the medium yellow kneepads on my all-stars macho man. I can't wait to see that documentary!!

but lets face it...Mattel usually makes up details, or leaves out details, so u can never say an attire is really accurate with them

everyone knows he wore those drab green trunks. He wore them plenty in the mid 80s and everyone knows he wore neon green trunks in the late 80's there is no evidence that he had the 3 stars/Macho Man logo on the neon green trunks. As i evidenced in a previous thread. He wore Neon Green trunks w/ no stars....and an orange Macho Man logo on the back on some episodes of Saturday Night Main Event. Always w/ matching neon green kneepads

The only evidence of the neon green trunks w/ the classic white 3 star logo.....is from the Arcade game WWF Superstars

You can say the same thing about Jake Roberts basic. He never wore that.

There are soo many iconic attires Sting wore and yet they went with one I do not recall him having worn. Sorry I meant Stong.

But the face paint just seemed random to me.

With that Jakks Sting in orange/blue, IIRC Jakks said they had to choose an attire he wore outside of WCW, as they didn't want to risk treading on WWE copyrights. So I'm guessing he wore this in an NJPW match or something. Although I'd bet the "research" Jakks did to find the attire was ridiculously minimal and done by someone with very little wrestling knowledge via google image search. It's a really ugly attire in my opinion.

Well you do know that Randy Savage did wear a variety of outfits over the years.
For one, during the Macho Man DVD, I noticed him wearing blue trunk, white kneepads and yellow boots against Harley Race.
He wore red trunk, black kneepads and yellow boots against Ted DiBiase.
And I know I did see him wear green trunks, blue kneepads and yellow boots before, on an old episode of Championship Wrestling where he teamed with Bob Orton against Tito Santana and Paul Orndorff I believe.

The full doc is not so incredible, the preview is the most thorough section about his early life, dramatic smashing of baseball bats on trees. The rest of the doc only covers Steamboat, Hogan, and DDP. Almost nothing post 1988 WWF is mentioned, then jump to DDP. No Macho King, Sherri, Warrior, Rhodes, FLAIR, nWo, and a bunch more. The twists and turns of his career just aren't mentioned. There's a lot about Liz and his 'treatment' of her, wanting to wrestle not be in the announce seat, not liking the Huckster and Nacho Man. Very broad strokes. I like the match selection though, not the same old choices. Edit: What is included in the doc part is well done but it's missing a lot, like not mentioning anything about his extensive feud with Flair across WWF and WCW. A lot of people are conspicuous in their absence, like Vince McMahon. This is the Macho Man Randy Savage we're talking about, and McMahon doesn't appear at all. They clear up why there were such hard feelings by saying 'we'll never know.' .....

What's up with the random sniper rifle picture?

I'm not seeing a sniper rifle pic anywhere. The real question here is why did Savage stop with the 3 stars in that period. Was it maybe because he turned heel? Subtracting things to make him less apealling? Always puzzled me, I love the McFarlane statue but it's from WMV, so no stars.

You got savage in the green trunks and right underneath that there is a rifle with camo decor.
