It may seem pointless, because it is but....I have seen a couple threads here recently where folks have dealt with some Grade-A douchebaggery when having their stuff signed. I thought it might be interesting to hear who some of your best and worst autograph experiences have been. I don't have any horror stories with wrestlers. I just had 2 very bizarre encounters. I met Honky Tonk Man a few years back, and he was cool but I'm 90% certain he was drunk because he signed my item TWICE. I still love it because it's like "2 autos for the price of 1". At the same signing, he lectured me about how I should never open my figures, I should keep them MOC so they can be signed. It was all in good humor, but it was in' weird. The other was at a signing where I was getting Greg "The Hammer" Valentine and Rikishi, when Barbarian asked me like 3 times to get his auto. I kept politely saying "No, thank you.", but he was super persistent. It was kinda sad this guy was practically begging me to buy a $10 auto. I felt bad for him, but didn't have anything to get signed and I was kinda skeeved out by his sad behavior. Had awesome experiences with Honky, Bushwacker Luke, Rikishi, Valentine, CM Punk, Flair, Jeff hardy, Robert Roode, AJ Styles, Jeff Jarret (twice), Mr. Anderson, Velvet Sky (who my 8 year old seems to have a crush on), Bob Backlund, and Cowboy Bob Orton. I haven't done any big signings yet, but I hope to this year. Hopefully, I am looking at collecting more good stories about the good guys in the business.

I don't get my figures signed but I do love hearing about the horrors stories though. Lol Barbarian! I remember the first time I read about Lonely Virgil. I laughed my ass off. Good times.

Oddball stories?
* I've now snubbed Nikolai Volkoff on three separate occasions - I just don't have anything for him to sign. All three times, he sat there looking like a sad puppydog when I passed him over (after getting the autographs of the people sitting next to him). I feel a bit bad - but I still don't have any of his merchandise to get signed!
* I talked Greg "The Hammer" Valentine's ear off once at a signing (there was no one else in line). I rambled on for probably five minutes about how much I enjoyed his feud with "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin and how it was right around the time I started becoming a fan of wrestling..... he just sat there in total silence..... then said "Right." Got a good autograph, though...
* I was very disappointed when I was scheduled to work and had to miss a Scott Hall signing - my wife very kindly agreed to take my magazine cover to get signed in my place (I already had it signed by Kevin Nash). Well, Scott Hall showed up nearly two hours late - and then informed the crowd that he'd need to eat some lunch before he could begin signing.... my wife left, and I still don't have a Scott Hall signature.... I'll be lucky if my wife ever agrees to go to one of these things again.
* Road Warrior Animal, the first time we met him - the photographer kept pressuring my wife to wear the spikes. She politely said (three times) that she didn't want to wear the spikes - I had already requested to hold the WWF Tag Team belt instead of wearing the spikes - the photographer asked my wife yet again to wear the spikes - "SHE DOESN'T WANT THEM!!" Road Warrior Animal said to the photo guy angrily.... it was really funny!
* Tommy Dreamer has been the worst both times I met him - I politely paid the $15 or whatever it was - he doesn't even speak - just stares daggers at me (both times) and signed the item.... no words, no thank you, nothing but quiet rudeness....
* My first autograph experience ever was my absolute worst - Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart. As I was just a little kid, and I didn't know how these things worked - I just went up to his table & asked - but he was very ignorant about being paid before he'd sign anything..... nearly scarred me for life, except for the fact that the individual at the next table called me over and politely explained how the whole process works...... that individual was Captain Lou Albano! If it wasn't for the good Captain, I might never have gone to an autograph signing again!

Can't say I've had a bad one yet!
However.... I did accidentally give Maria Kanellis a Christy Hemme 8x10 to sign. I was in a hurry, saw the red hair on the photo and just handed it to her. She says "that's not me" all snotty-like.. I said sorry, handed her the right 8x10, said thanks and she rolled her eyes and didn't speak to me again. I felt bad but whatever... crap happens

Only person I ever paid and waited in line for was Mick Foley. Got his first book signed. He signed the cover, inside front page, and took a pic. The price was $25 but when he showed up he said that was too expensive and lowered it to $15! He was next to Vader and every 30 seconds Vader yelled at someone for taking a free pic with their cell phone. He's a scary dude.
My brother and I were at the mall like 10 years ago and there was a sports collectible show going on. Virgil had a table and surprise surprise, not a single person in line. I'm not 100% here but I wanna say he was charging $40! I know it was something ridiculous. Long story short.....He asked if wanted an autograph and we politely declined but said we were fans of his. He mumbled some garbage than said "You punks know I make more money in a day than your daddy do in a lifetime!" I said well I doubt it cuz our dad's a doctor. He goes "tell your daddy come find me so I can slap him in the mouth." Weird guy

This! He and Sweet T had a signing prior to a WWE houseshow in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He just sat there behind the table, showing no interest at all in the fans waiting in line to get his signature. All the while, he had his earphones on, listening to music. Seems like that was his only interest that day. Another one I didn't like was Scott Steiner. Sat behind a table, all grumpy, also showing no interest at all. Didn't seem to be happy to be there.
