I remember as a kid I bought these at a dollar store. I no longer have them but I saw this picture and would love to know what the line was called and who made it. These were mini figures btw, no bigger than 3 inches each.

They existed in many forms, however in Germany they were released by Euro Play and called World Champion figures. Pictured are: Wiking and the Sheriff.

Thank you so much. I remember buying these as a kid at the dollar store. My mom use to love this Chinese restaurant, as she ate I would excuse myself and walk over to a neighboring dollar store. I remember seeing these and falling in love with them. They were small enough to fit in my pocket so they could go anywhere with me. And they werent bendable but they had just enough give to were you could slightly move their legs and arms. Plus the 4 pack cost me 1 dollar so for 3 dollars I got 12 figures. I bet if wwe licensed their name these would have cost at least 3 dollars per figure these days.

I wish I knew the story behind these. Did someone just set out to imitate wwf wrestlers? Or did wwf have these in the works but then pulled out at the very last second?

I am not sure if there is a story. There is no info on the backs as I remember (I have them in storage), but seeing who the figures are, I just assume they were intended as knockoffs for profit with no licensing likely pursued by the Chinese manufacturers.
