Again, I disagree. Ryback would have been a terrible choice to end Punks reign. That said, it shouldn't have been Rock either. I respect that. I do think Ryback would have been the perfect guy given how OVER he was going into the PPV, regardless of the crappy job WWE did at booking. But i can respect your opinion. I'm with the camp that feels Ryback in NO WAY should've ended Punk's reign. Ryback losing because of Brad Maddox kept him strong. Rock/Punk and Rock/Cena would still happen. I've said it before, Ryback should have won the Rumble though. He wins the 2013 Rumble and faces Big Show for the World Title. A Shellshock later and you've got a Champion and a made star. He hoists up Show in a Mania moment.

I was never a fan of Ryback. I just don't find him entertaining. But it is good to see he is back from his injury (I don't wish injuries on anyone) especially for those who do like him.

The wwe shouldn't have put him in that place to begin with. But because they did the only way to salvage him was a win over punk which the www didn't give him. Bad booking out him in that no win situation. Disagree completely. Because the wwe put him in a spot he shouldn't have been in or because he lost to punk. I agree he wasn't near ready for the title but the wwes crap booking forced him Into that spot. Cena goes down and because they had no credible top guys to use the three ryback in his spot with not chance to succeed.

The thread title makes me wish Ryback added a running big boot to his repertoire and called it the Ryboot.

Love Ryback with this gimmick. I feel like the dorky fans with "Goldberg" chants messed it up the first time. Really hope that doesn't happen again... it was so annoying to me.
I also hope Stan Stansky makes a return.

I also hope Stan Stansky makes a return. Don't get your hopes up. I wouldn't expect anything less than crowds ruining good matches with cringe worthy chants. It starts with one idiot trying to get over, and then it spreads to other idiots that lack the self-awareness to understand how stupid the chant is. And before you know it a thousand idiots are chanting something stupid.

Here's how it should have been. Big Show defeats Sheamus to win the WHC in October 2012 (I wouldn't change anything about that feud) and keeps the title until WrestleMania. Cena still wins the Rumble and faces The Rock. Del Rio and Swagger have their feud the same way it happened but without the title. Ryback faces Big Show at Mania 29 and takes the title off of him with a massive shell-shock. Crowd pops massively, Ryback instantly is a huge star, Big Show has a thank-you-for-all-your-work kinda title reign, Cena wins the rematch so that story can be closed and we get a nice undercard match with an actual backstory in Del Rio vs. Swagger.
Everybody wins. But of course they blew it big time.

I wonder why Ryback is wearing Axel's shirt? Still. I thought RybAxel was no more.

I just finished watching this week's smackdown. Noticed ryback is back to wearing the compression shorts like he was before his surgery. Anyone heard any news if he suffered an other injury?
