good question. My wife gets a good laugh out of my "Doll" collection. My kids, however, love Daddy's wrestlemen. They've started their own displays in their rooms. If I were a single guy out there looking to score, I'd probably either have them in a room that is closed off, or I'd probably not display them. I was already married when I started purchasing/displaying them. My wife is actually pretty cool about it, sometimes picking up figures for me.
Most women will not understand. I love my display...would hate to take it down. We are actually thinking about moving soon and the wife says I have to put them up while the house is on the market so it doesn't scare off potential buyers. I keep telling myself I need to slow it down. I'm passing on a few figures here and there (the new elite Kane, a big show, Shameaus, ect). I can't quit them...just can't. My advice is to put them in a room/office that is away from the rest of the house.

I've cut down to mostly one figure per character with a few exceptions but dude, do what makes you happy. The figures are in your office, just don't take girls into your office until they get to know you.... Then if they have a problem with a figure display then that's their problem. But really it's not a big deal unless you make it a big deal. I've had lots of friends with something on a shelf or a tv stand... A UFC bobble head, guns n roses slash figure, etcetera etcetera
And when girls see your collection, just play it on the down lo.... Keep on collecting man

Hey guys, so I've been dealing with this problem lately ... I'm primarily a Legends collector, though I often keep up with new Elites as well. I recently moved into a new house and, now that I'm getting older, don't know how fitting it is to have a ton of toys on display at all times ... I know, I know. Please don't hold it against me. Difficult decisions. Right now in my home office I've got a display with most of my Legends figures ... there's around 85 in a bookcase, and I recently cut back from around 100 because it looked too cluttered. Now I'm as happy as anyone else that more Legends in the pipeline (especially that "corrected" Sgt. Slaughter), but I'm having a hard time figuring how much is reasonable for a display and how much is simply too much. I'm not trying to scare people (read: girls) away. How do you all handle this situation? Should I pare down to 1 figure per each legend, sticking with only the most iconic looks? Do I pack up some of the lesser names? Maybe rotate some of the figures every couple of months? Do I say the hell with it and by a larger bookcase? I know most fans on here will probably lean toward the larger bookcase, ha, but I'm interested in hearing what everyone thinks ... most of the times I end up packing some figures I end up eventually taking them back out, lol. The collector struggle! Mark I am in the same boat but I have so many figs .. as in a whole room so I am screwed. I usually get em before they see my toys and keep em with good sex

My advice is to put them in a room/office that is away from the rest of the house. I tell women this, you collect shoes, i collect action figures. The difference is my used figures actually gain value. Their shoes lose value. That's what i say when women Brown nose me.

I experienced this issue with my OTHER hobby, which is NFL HOFER signed mini helmets
I utilized space that is 99.9% never used in my office! which was the border across the ceiling.
I bought shelves and hung them on the wall with just enough space, from the ceiling..needless to say that didn't take long to fill But it helped display the helmets in the room, instead of having them stacked on top of 1 another.

I know exactly how the OP feels. I used to have a small three tier bookshelf for my figures. Now I currently have three six tier shelves. Nearly four of the six levels are filled with figures. The other two have CDs and blu rays. Soon Come Elite 37, the figures will be working their way down to the fifth level.

Keep it in one room or part of your house. Like a spare/guest room rather then living/family room cuz that's kinda tacky anyways. Also if you are a grown adult and have your own place absolutely no figures in bedroom.
