It amazes me that almost everyone on this board thinks they know better than Mattel. You're all geniuses! Smarter than one of the most successful toy companies in the world!s This. and people wonder why bill doesn't answer all of their questions. everyone's always nitpicking the crap out of his work.

Smarter than one of the most successful toy companies in the world!s I'm not getting that impression. I think most people are just posting their own interpretation of the line and/or closest "moment" that the figures resemble. Maybe some are stating their preferred color scheme or attire choice, but I don't think that is claiming to know better. Maybe I've missed a few posts though... It happens a lot on this board. It is especially annoying when people start debating whether or not something is worth the price point Mattel sets and whether or not it should have been a regular flashback or whether it should have had more accessories. Its one thing to question attire choices another to question business decisions as if you understand that side of Mattel's business.

That was the inital line. The one that failed and ended up in big lots. This is a revamped line. With not as specific attires and more in demand / new characters. I'd argue that "Defining Moments" should be a line that takes a wrestler, and incorporates all of his/her biggest events in a time period. Kind of like a collage. It's MOMENTS, not Moment. That's great, is not a bad idea and I'm sure there's many other different perspectives and opinions, and everyone is entitled to them. The FACT is though that Mattel used the same name/brand that previously existed and had already been established as depicting specific moments or matches. If they wanted to stray from that original reputation, it's absolutely their prerogative but some constructive feedback is to be expected. I don't think they've strayed too far from the original theme though, but enough to warrant some raised eyebrows. It's obvious that Mattel saw more value in resurrecting the Defining Moments line than to create a brand new line. For those that are saying "it's different, get over it" (in so many words), I think that's kind of a harsh line to take. If I was launching a new low-calorie soda that was kinda-sorta-like Diet Coke but not exactly the same, I wouldn't call it Diet Coke, maybe I'd call it Coke Zero. What I wouldn't do is put Coke Zero in a Diet Coke can and expect people not to be confused or not to complain when it didn't taste the same. I'm sure Mattel expected as much and was prepared, so my comments aren't so much directed towards Mattel but to the collectors or members who want to criticize those who are voicing their confusion or unhappiness with the shift in strategy.

I understand and that can be frustrating, but some of the debates/discussions that come up on here can be weighed in intelligently enough by some of our members. Not everything dicsussed on here requires you to be an employee of Mattel assigned to the WWE line to understand the logic. Some of it is simple economics, others requires an understading of supply chain, and then there are some things that may not be clear unless you are in the elite circle. But I do agree that it is annoying when you see some people complaining for the sake of complaining and acting as if they know it all from the comfort of their basement every weekday at noon.

So if Kane had all his moments in one we'd have the Dentists Favorite Corporate Demon! LOL. Sort of? I meant that it would take the wrestler's main highlights from a particular era in his career. I assume that the WWE toys are in line with the WWE Universe--meaning that Kane is never known as Jerry Lawler's Dentist. Thus, if Kane was ever acknowledged on WWE tv to be a dentist, then yes. But, just how Razor Ramon and Scott Hall are two different characters (hence why Razor not Hall was inducted into the HOF so far) Kane and Isaac Yankem DDS are two different characters. A Barry Darsow figure would be either the best of Repo Man or best of Smash, not a hodgepodge of the two.
