I know we're all frustrated with the shelf warmers at Toys R Us and the lack of new BAF sets. Once some of the holiday sales kick in and the Toys for Tots drive begins, I hope some of you will join me in buying some of these shelf warmers and donating them to Toys for Tots.
I give what I can every year, and I'm hoping to do a little more this year.

Exactly, most of what shelf warns would be LOVED by a needy kid. Sorry guys, but LOD and debut Rocky Maivia aren't on very many kids Christmas lists.
Meijer last year had a $10 Elite sale last year so I bought up all their Zigglers and Rey's. The next day (AFTER the sale ended) they put out a fresh case of E26

i like the idea..i am in for my part in Fay NC...TRU are loaded with Sheamus and Del Rio BAF. Funny thing is the 3 for $20 excluded those figures but they only had Basic 39 in which i had to order..so slow.

We manage to get rid of pre-printed Super Bowl "Winners" t-shirts, why can't we do the same with Sheamus figures?

Whenever TRU runs a promotion where you get a free figure with spending a certain amount, I always grab a kid friendly character and throw it in the Toys for Tots around Christmas time.

Great idea! This topic gets brought up each year around the holidays. I give every year and try to keep an eye on the sales for this reason.
Actually since we are a online community thats been brought together by wrestling action figures, I wish we could all come together and do some sort of toy drive. But I have no idea how to organize or set up one.

My wife and I do that every year. We normally spend around $200, and only $50-$60 is on shelf warmers. Even though I'm sure any toy is better than none, I feel guilty dumping a ton of Del Rio figures in there.

They would gather them up and save all the items bought and ship them to a designated charity or charities.

Or have them give the option to make a donation or give a figure at checkout for every order. Then if its donation, they could take the money and apply it toward figures they have in stock and then donate those figures in addition to the generous donation they make during yhe holidays.

Ive already started with the Walmart rollback on basics. Some kid will get Punk, Dolph, Khali, and Ambrose thanks to that. I consider myself lucky enough to afford to buy my kids presents ,so i should share a little of that with the ones who arent in that position for their kids.

great post! Giving where you can is great around the holiday season. I normally try to hook up a few kids with some awesome figures. Those kids love the figures, regardless to who the figures are.

Going to do this In a few weeks as well. I figure if i can afford a figure for myself then why not for kids who will really enjoy it. Also I get clear out space in my stores for newer sets in 2015.

Made my first donation today using the three-for-$20 deal plus one more figure. So there are four fewer Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio figures on the shelves. More to come.
