Just wondered if anybody else has strong feelings on especially the DX elite figures being all different boxes. I know there is not much you can do about it but i really wish all the DX figures came out in the same packing design, the blue one would have been best for my liking but now its kinda hard to keep all my dx figures together as it doesn't really work with the space im working with plus it looks kinda crappy, firstly ive got the three series 7 DX figures in the first box then the series 23 Triple H(im missing E19 Michaels) then the boxes change for Road Dogg and Billy Gunn and had Xpac came out in this packing i would have been ok with it but now its going to be another odd one. I dont know what the new boxes are like as ive not got any yet but am i right in thinking they look alot smaller than previous boxes (even smaller than E18-24) but im not sure.Has anybody encountered any issues like this and whats the thoughts on the new packing.

The new Elite boxes are smaller but they are also the best design wise IMO.

My least favourite boxes i think were the bigger white boxes 12-17. i kinda liked the blue boxes because they were squarer and filled wall space better with no big gaps unlike earlier white box releases.

The classic superstars line was the ideal line for moc collectors because they never changed the packaging once. If you collect mattel figures moc, variation in packaging is just something you have to put up with. Mattel change there packaging every year. It sucks that we can't have a stable like DX with all the same packaging, but because there releases were spread out, most of their packaging is different.

I'm a MOC collector and like Mattel changing the packaging regularly... it keeps things fresh and different. For display purposes, I wouldn't do it by figures or stables (DX, NWO etc.) but instead group all the figures in the same packaging/year together - that way you can have large groups of figures in matching packaging.

I'd hate the new packaging if I was a moc collector. Makes me wanna throw up. Rest of the packaging is fine although for MOC collectors it'd be nice to have all the figs with the same box design

At this point I am used to the fact that the packaging will change every year and look forward to seeing what it will be.
The change from 2011 to 2012 (the first white-carded year) bothered me because the cards of the basics were gigantic and got damaged so easily and because series numbers for basics and 2-packs stopped. I'm just glad they kept the series numbers on Elites going.
As a MOC collector, I rank packaging from best to worst... 2010 - window in the back of elites, posed basics, elite-style history on back of 2-packs 2013 - compact basics, solid elites 2011 - okay but a big step down in overall quality from first year 2014 - blue/yellow looks nice but they're extremely flimsy, elites get crushed/creased too easily 2012 - those huge & easily warped basic cards, introduction of unposed basics

Yeah, that's one of the things I don't like about the MOC collecting. DX won't look good together, Demolition, and soon NWO, but I'm not fully an MOC collector. I liked how the classic superstars series never changed, just the color , but changing things up is refreshing too. Guess it's just a small pet peeve for some.

Mattel may make better figs, but Jakks kills it when it comes to To catering for MOC collectors. (referring to CS) That said, while the elite boxes have changed, they are still squared boxes. So as long as they don't completely overhaul the box to a tube or something, I'm okay with the changes they do.

Glad I don't do MOC; just not how I want to live.

You think DX is bad... How about Demolition?! You have Ax and Smash on Legends cards and then Crush in the blue Elite box.
I just wish EVERYTHING was on Legends style cards with that awesome artwork!

I hate Mattel's practice of changing the carding each year. I only collect some of my figures MOC, but the Mattel section of my display looks like a hodge-podge - as opposed to my JAKKS section, which all have matching carding.

gotta say my CS collection does look awesome, it does look really cool when you have a big wall just filled with classics, i didnt know the DM figures were in different boxes, thats really pissed me off no end now. The legend figures art work was awesome but then even they were not all the same with some of them being in much deeper cards. I keep all my moc except for basics which strangely i keep all the boxes for too for some reason. But for the first time im really dont think the new boxes are a step forward
