Just wondering what everyone's opinion on the plastic shirts are. They are ok but I'm not really the biggest fan. The reason I ask is cause we have been getting figures with cloth pants (Brock and Rock) and the new Daniel Bryan has the Wyatt jump suit. So my question is why couldn't we get cloth shirts which are far superior to the plastic ones if the budget allows for other cloth accessories.

The amount of money left over in the budget determines if a shirt is plastic or cloth. If a shirt is sleeveless (like Lesnars) then I'd rather it be plastic.

There are figures I've turned down, which had a plastic shirt, where if they had a cloth shirt I would have certainly bought it.

They are both good and bad. Plastic shirts are a pain to put on the figure but they have the designs on the back of the shirt. Cloth shirts are good as well very easy to put on and looks more real but they are missing the designs on the back.

I prefer cloth, but a plastic shirt as an accessory wouldn't be a deal breaker.

a shirt is a shirt tbh. but for the most part cloth is better for moving in your attires.

the cloth shirts, etc. just LOOK better.
yeah i know these are toys. i know these aren't "barbie dolls". thats not the point. its just COOL to have a little replica of the shirts or attires these guys actually wore. it makes the Elites STAND OUT. when you put a figure with a cloth shirt next to one with plastic you see just what the difference is.
hell, i almost never display my Elites without their attire accessories. so having the cloth style shirts is a million times better than the alienrubberplastic we get mostly now.

All I have to say, is give RSC or WCT the rights to produce fabric goods. I will pay $10 for a cloth shirt. I need a set of 5 for DX !

Cloth > rubber the rubber shirts are terrible they don't stay on good they are hard to get on and off and they just look sloppy and not nice at all the cloth ones are better

I like them both for different reasons - sometimes the cloth accessories look too big or bulky, where the plastic attire is molded & often fits better (making the figure look more authentic).
The John Cena figures have sucked since they stopped giving him cloth shirts; and I don't think he would look right with plastic shirts, however - I think the Brock Lesnar figures look fine with a plastic shirt. The DX plastic shirts also seem to work well.... yet the nWo cloth shirt that came with The Giant is also very special, and interchangeable with other figures....
So I like them all, depends on the figure & the attire.... and - while I love the DM Ric Flair's cloth robe, I bet they could make an excellent rubber one too (sort of like the Elite Goldust one).
It all depends....

plastic shirts just go in a baggy and get tossed in a closet.

Cena is well... a Cena, quite frankly; if the 1st elite Bray Wyatt's shirt gets knocked for Cena's Shirt, i would be ripping pissed and most people on here would agree to that New character w/cloth accessories > same old boring ass Cena that we probably saw in the basics line yes, Cena's figure ARE pretty cool, but stood against a sweet new character (like Bray Wyatt), i MUCH, MUCH rather have that over a Cena

The new side clasp is so much better but I still prefer cloth over the plastic.

They're both pretty bad. I don't have the cloth fetish, so I'm not a fan of those. They're usually ill-fitting and poorly designed. The plastic shirts are too, but the back designs are cool.
Thus far, the only decent shirts are the plastic ones with the sides cut off, like the ones that came with Rey Mysterio and Elite 29 Goldust etc.

cloth far more superior than rubber
especially for robes, taker e27 looks goofy on his robes, imagine if the robes were dm-ish material, would make100x better figure

There have been releases in both styles that i have liked and some that didnt come off as well. I definitely prefer cloth for robes, but t shirts are about even between the two choices. I actually kind of prefer the painted on shirt look of the walmart series.

Whether something is cloth/plastic i think should depend on the superstar. Cena wears alot of shirts ok so do cloth. Uso's, Goldust etc. wear those throw over shirts, do plastic. I don't really have a preference either way, but just my two cents.
