If he comes back ....great. If he doesnt its really no big deal. Hes seemed content with WM19 being his last in ring performance for this long, so i dont see him worrying about one big last match. Obviously it would be great to see one of the fabled dream matches like him vs Lesnar,Cena, or Hogan come to fruition. But hes talked about doing it ,then not doing it,then doing it .......then not......for so long that i dont really care. If hes never wrestles again i respect that decision and appreciate everything he accomplished for himself and the business as a whole ,during his prime.if he comes back for one last go round, then more power to him.

There is no one I want to see him go against anyway.

I'm convinced he's just trying to get attention now. He can only flip flop so many times internet people stop listening/caring. Seriously he could appear at a WWE event like the roster reveal and hint at it again and people would blow up. It's literally internet fans who quit caring. Or who say they quit caring.

From what I have gleaned from Austin, he appreciates the sentiment in pro wrestling that your final match is a loss; and he's stuck to that for over 11 years...I'm fine either way, if he did come back but his match against The Rock in 2003 was a great 'final' match for him IMO.

If he waits any longer he won't really be able to do much with his body. Same with Sting. I don't think these guys realize they are in their 50s. (Austin will be 50 + for any future manias )

He seems conflicted. Probably still has the itch but deep down knows its not practical.

(Austin will be 50 + for any future manias ) Sting has spent the last decade working. So even though he's older than Austin and definitely at the end of his career, it's not like he's that rusty. Austin hasn't had a match since 2003. It's a far bigger risk for him to come back at this point and try to perform at the caliber he once did, which is virtually impossible. Austin's window to me is very small. I know he's great physically for his age or whatever but that's a long time to be away. If he's going to do it, he needs to do it and stop talking about it. I tend to agree that if it doesn't happen at WrestleMania 32, it doesn't happen. It seems like something he would be amping up to start training for though imo. I think that's why there has been a small grumble of him returning. If he's going to do it, he's going to start working towards it behind closed doors and a year of training doesn't seem that far fetched to me for a guy that hasn't worked in over a decade. I'd love to see it. I guess we will see.

If Steve Austin does decide to come back for one match, I don't think many would care. He has been dangling that proverbial carrot for too long now. You're lying to yourself if you truly believe that.. Agreed. It'd be huge. One of my favorite things ever was when Bischoff went all over town looking for Austin, and they finally had a match at No Way Out 2003.

For a comeback to matter, Austin shouldn't talk about coming back and get's in ring shape without anybody knowing. If/when the announcement Austin would be coming back for one match, it would become a huge news story. Austin has been teasing a comeback for years. It is getting to a point that it isn't really news anymore. Austin should take a page out of The Rock's playbook. Not saying a word, come back, and do all of your talking in the ring. Not on a weekly podcast. You're lying to yourself if you truly believe that.. Agreed. It'd be huge. One of my favorite things ever was when Bischoff went all over town looking for Austin, and they finally had a match at No Way Out 2003. It is interesting to note that because of Austin and Bischoff having TV time together, they became legit friends behind the scenes.

I wish people would stop over analysing everything. It's all about timing at the end of the day. If a situation arises that they have nothing left and need Austin, it will happen. They already have a situation regarding Undertaker to attend to at Wrestlemania 31, along with the possibility of Sting, Brock Lesnar, and possibly a Triple H vs The Rock encounter. If Austin does wrestle, it will be at Wrestlemania 32, in Texas, at Cowboys Stadium. Don't even begin to think it will be with CM Punk either. If he does, it will be with John Cena or Brock Lesnar, and nobody else.

Austin is constantly shooting down the rumours yet part of me can't help but think the dude protests to much.

I never thought there was any chance Austin would wrestle at Wrestlemania 31. If there's any chance of him wrestling again it'll be at Wrestlemania 32 in Dallas. If he doesn't wrestle then, I truly don't think we'll ever see him wrestle another match.
Now, all that being said, even if Austin was training five days a week to return to the ring, he's not going to admit to it. He's said numerous times he's open to wrestling again if the right opportunity presents itself, so him being so suddenly dismissive that he won't wrestle again does make me wonder if he's trying to downplay it for a reason. Jericho and The Rock have both gone that route in the past to try and throw off the audience, so anything is possible.

He's becoming the Michael Jordan of Pro Wrestling. He can't seem to make up his mind if he's retiring or coming back

I still can't believe people wont let it go with "One More Match" from Stone Cold.Dudes been retired for eleven years going on twelve and pushing 50.If he was going to have one more match he would have done it years ago. However I do believe that he will return to the WWE in sometype of role i.e. in a authority role,commentator,trainer...ect to help the company.Ideally for me if the rumored Triple H/Rock feud and match happens at WM 31 it would be GOLD to have Austin comeback and be apart of their feud and end up as the special guest referee(yes he's done that to death)and it would be something really special for "Attitude Era" fans seeing the three biggest names from that era together again.

He's becoming the Michael Jordan of Pro Wrestling. He can't seem to make up his mind if he's retiring or coming back Oh he's retired and he will continue to be. He knows damn well the ship of him wrestling sailed a long time ago. Brock would kill him, Cena would bore him, Hunter happened 15 years ago, same with Rock, and WWE's refusal to build stars left no one to face him. Punk was the only safe worker we've never seen him with that could hold up on the mic and carry him in ring but now he's gone. Plus straight edge vs beer drinking red neck could have lead to gold.

As I said before... If he isn't facing CM Punk, I don't care. That's the only feud I want to see him do still and it's not going to happen.
