I'm so so pleased I have the Jakks Blue cage. The finish, with the padded turnbuckles, and quality ring posts, really is on another level. Its what hooked me on Jakks ! I didnt even know they made them and found the WM2 ring by accident and havent stopped collecting in a year and a half but I wouldnt mind having another but these are these more to scale with Mattel figures than jakks ? It's more in scale with Jakks figures than the Jakks ring is. The top rope height in particular -- in the Jakks ring, the top rope is basically crotch/lower abdomen height on a lot of figures, that was why I got rid of mine (well, that and the giant foam pillow things in the corners). The top rope on the Mattel/WickedCoolToys ring is a bit higher. The surface area of the Mattel/WCT rings is a couple of inches bigger than the Jakks one, so that's a case of whether you prefer more or less space in the ring (and how much space you have for it). However, this new blue WCT cage looks a bit iffy to me, height wise.

I'm in love with that modern cage. Too bad I don't have any space for a Full-Scale Ring :/

Wait, are they coming with the ring skirts and ropes and stairs and all of that? That'd be awesome, and I'd certainly buy one of 'em. I'd imagine it'll be around $20-$25 in that case. Which I'm okay with, because there's so much in that package. I'm dying for a classic apron/rope set. I'll get the Classic Cage even if I don't use the cage itself, the apron and ropes would be worth it.

I'm sure if the spring ring cages were priced at $30, these will be at least $50 or more. I don't have an ESR but these are tempting. All those skirts and rope colors remind of the days of the hardcore ring, so much customization!

Yeah your right about the top rope too You do a lot of modifying, right? It might be possible to modify the Jakks ring for the ropes to be a bit higher rather than buying a whole other ring, considering the Jakks cage looks better than the Mattel one heightwise. But if you're cool with having two rings anyway, yeah, just get the Mattel one too and then you at least have the choice (or two displays).

For me and blending in all of my 1985 to 87 WWF roster I really have no issue with the ropes and how the figures articulate as it actually works better for photos and posing especially on a Atlantic City Avalanche

Sorry to double post but I didnt wanna start another thread as Im confused as I saw the cage and skirts for sale at RS but no classic ring included ? so whats up with this . Now their cage is 10" high but my Jakks is almost 12" so can anyone confirm if my Jakks cage would fit on a wicked cool ring and is the classic WWF ring and skirts just for sale ? thanks in advance

Originally WCT was only going to sell the cage along with the ring. Now it seems they are selling everything except the ring base and ring mat. I'm not sure if they'll have a version that has everything, but if they were going to, it would probably be up for preorder on RSC. This leads me to believe that WCT will only be selling the cage, posts, ropes, turnbuckles, ring skirts and not the base or mat. The Jakks cage will NOT fit on a Wicked Cool ring because they are different sized rings. WCT's ring is 22"x22" and I think Jakks' rings are 20"x20" I don't believe a classic ring and skirts by themselves will be sold.
