Hi guys, this is my first thread so forgive me if this topic has already been posted. I recently have started collecting carded hasbros and I was wondering if they hold more value signed by the relevant wrestler. I only ask as there usually is some sort of wrestle con event going on and was thinking about bringing some of my figures to be signed there. I like the idea of having a MOC figure in great shape displayed with a nice signature on it but was wondering if you guys reckon it may incase or decrease value. At the moment I collect for the sheer enjoyment of it but was curious to know if a signature could affect its value in the future either positively or negatively? Thanks in advance for any help

Fair point, might be better to get doubles signed instead in that case

get them signed for your own benefit. I did, I cn only imagine figures like Warrior and the likes of Macho Man would show some sort of value to them as they're no longer with us.

well if the wrestler is dead (which covers a vast majority of Hasbros) then yes
I mean a signed Andre the Giant, or Yokozuna would be awesome

Signed collectibles and their value are always a topic of debate. While many don't care that it is signed and argue the integrity of the original piece, there are still many (if not more) that feel otherwise.

I have like 10+ Dusty Rhodes Mocs (couple are reseals) but i would not want any to be signed by Dusty himself
I would rather buy some cheap Dusty Jakks figure instead and have him sign it

Exactly. Nothing that is signed is worth anything without documentation that it is an authentic signature. If you don't have a legit certificate of authenticity, that signature is for your own enjoyment and that's it. Because the market is literally flooded with fake signatures on everything from everyone. Watch a few episodes of Pawn Stars.

It would be a case by case point. An authentic Andre would fetch huge figures as its well known he did not like to autograph things, same as a Warrior or Savage, still worth much more, won't bring in as much as Andre. Now a signed Janetty or 123 Kid, I think could actually hurt the value of the original piece.

Thanks for all the great replies guys I will definitely take these points into consideration. I'll keep my eyes eyes out for a signed savage or Andre then lol.

There is a simple solution to this debate, put the moc hasbros in zoloworld cases and then have said talent sign the case, and baaaaaaaa-bam, there ya go, problem solved

Haha, I don't know the guy at all, but I did get a few casts for some of my Hasbro and they are good cases, they were still pricey when I got them but great cases none the less
