I hear a lot of moaning but most of the time the product just isn't there. I mean walmart has thousands of unique products and you want them to focus on just the wrestling guys....feel selfish just my opinion. .. I see where he is coming from though. I have a job in inventory management, which involves keeping pegs stocked throughout a whole store. It's not a Walmart sized store by any means, but it's still what they are paying me to do, just like someone is being paid at Walmart to do. I know if I left shelves sit empty for that long I'd get fired. Also, I visit family up near New Castle, so of course during the drive I figure hunt, and if this is the same Walmart I'm thinking of then it's not just the WWE section that needs help.

Nice to see the exclusive t shirt series is out. Annoying they wouldn't sell you the AJ figure, why put it out in the store if it's not on the system!. I am just hoping the t shirt series becomes available on the website for us UKers to buy. The previous one (Cena, Punk, Cody, Lesnar) came out in Asda, hopefully this series will too. I didn't even know Asda still carried figures. I haven't seen a Basic there since February.

Bingo..... lots of problems at this store. One time - they ran out of carts - people couldn't get carts, so they were just leaving the store without buying anything. And one time, on a Saturday, they only had one register open! I had a whole cart of stuff - I just abandoned it and left (the line was all the way to the back of the store).
This is a messed up store - they've gotten a little better over the last few years - but their WWE section has literally looked like the photos for seven months, I figured I would bring it to someone's attention & see what happens.....
And they are still pretty empty....

They're very sporadic with wrestling figures. They usually have something all the time, even if it's old Rumblers or Slam City. But most branches with a decent toy section got at least one case of the t-shirt figures.

My Asda doesn't seem to really care for WWE stuff. I guess I'd have to go to a larger one for a more decent selection. It is strange because mine has a whole aisle of toys.

Something similar happened to a Walmart with me. I found the only basic 41 drew there, and they scanned it and it said "item not found". They said they can't sell it to me. I wasn't walking out of there with the only basic 41 drew, and they had about 60 others from basic 41. I grabbed basic 41 cesaro and had to explain that their in the same series, and she finally gave in. And that's ashame with your walmart. I feel for you

I'm sorry for the bump but I encountered the same problem today with the Superstar Entrances AJ and I thought of this thread. Luckily the lady sold it to me anyway. She said since I bought another figure and it rang up that she could sell it to me because they were the same packaging and everything.

They are not obligated to have WWE figures... True, but it's in their best interest. They sell products for money. It's not good business to not have a product. Especially when that product takes up 4-8 feet of precious peg space.

There has been some business articles about Walmart's problem with out of stock items. Not specifically toys or wrestling figures, but they seem to know there is a problem with their stores. When Walmart started opening stores in my state around the mid-90's, they were a great stop for toys. Nowadays, not so much. These articles are probably boring with some business Mumbo-Jumbo, but they might be worth a quick read: ForbesBloomberg

I wouldve been been really mad

I wouldve been been really mad I had the same problem with the Drew McIntyre but they overrode the price. For real?!? I had the same issue too. I found the only drew, and it said item not found. At first they weren't going to sell it to me, but I wasn't walking out of there without it. I ended up having to explain that it was a basic, and I got it for 7.77 when walmart had that sale

Especially when that product takes up 4-8 feet of precious peg space. The amount of mark up on figures is, I imagine, the same as the mark up on video games and consoles where the stores actually don't make a whole lot of money on selling them, to buy them at cost is probably like about 20 or 30 cents less than what they sell them for so it's not necessarily "in their best interest" when it's really something they probably make very little money on. I'd say we're lucky they carry in the first place. Most of Walmarts money probably comes from clothes that they sell.

IF that is true, which I'm not sure that it actually is - then the only real reason for the company to carry these toys would be to draw people into the store to buy them.... In which case - Walmart is STILL dropping the ball BIG TIME here.

I would imagine that it's as important, if not more important to Mattel, than it is to Walmart. And because Walmart is Walmart, the largest retail chain in the United States, I'd imagine they buy cheaper than other companies.
