Ever since WWE started using the new logo in August I feel that things seem to have become very bland, drab and there seems to be a lot lacking in the overall energy of the shows. Maybe this was a problem anyway but the old "attitude logo" was still making me think/hope for better years. Now with the new logo in place it just seems everything has been stripped away and its very basic, plain and flat.
WWE is suffering from an identity crisis? Is it time to get rid of the names "Raw" and "Smackdown" and come up with new shows to replace them?

I'm more or less inclined to agree with another member on another thread about the over saturation of WWE.. We have waaaaay too many shows right now. It'd be nice if they replaced Main Event or Superstars with NXT. At least with that we wouldn't be subjected to the same ol'' sh** week in and week out. I would like to see RAW on Mondays. NXT on Wednesday, and Smackdown should become a Network only recap show considering that's all they are now. But that's my opinion. And my opinion doesn't mean sh**.

You burn through material too quickly with all these shows now. As much as everyone hated it, they need a brand split again. Sprinkle in some NXT guys to keep it fresh.

I was on the "I don't mind this at all" side of the fence when they did the brand extension. At least we had fresh stories and it seemed a good chunk of the roster had something to do on their respective show. Smack down was the sh*t back in 2002-2003. RAW was meh until the fall of 02.

I remember a time, myself included, that wanted the brand split to end, to die, to demolish lol you get the point and when it finally did people were happy. But now everyone including myself want the brand split back.
It will make the whole unifying the titles thing pointless but it's what's needed in today's wwe. It gives so many up and comers a shot and mid carders who wouldn't even get a chance a chance.
We won't have to see the same top superstars face each other every week. Orton/cena orton/reigns rollins/reigns. Kane/cena. Cesaro/sheamus. And so on. Make it interesting again where the superstars on opposing brands only fight each other at wrestlemania. The tag titles and divas belt could still be co branded and the Ic and us will represent a certain brand.
It's just to cluttered right now.

The brand split is needed again. My fondest memories of RAW and SmackDown! are from 2002 - 2004. The split was new and exciting. When RAW guys appeared on SmackDown! I instantly thought "HOLY S#!T! This is incredible!" Now I'm seeing Rollins, Ambrose, Orton, Sheamus, Ziggler, and Miz two or three times a week. It should be RAW guys on RAW, SmackDown! guys on SmackDown! A mix of top talent, tag teams and mid carders on Main Event, no more Superstars. I wouldn't de-unify the World/Tag Team Tiles. Along with the Divas Title I'd allow them on both brands, but only when a feud is happening with a RAW or SmackDown! guy.

The logo isn't to blame for WWE sucking right now Lol exactly, the logo has nothing to do with WWE's crap product as of late. For WWE to be interesting again imo a few things need to happen. Moving Raw back to 2 hours and having separate brands again for Raw/SD would be a huge step in the right direction. I think you could still get away with the one World Champion having them on both shows, much like when the first draft happened and the Undisputed Champ was on both shows. After that I think it would be a huge push for guys like Ziggler, Sheamus, Barrett, Cesaro to have more spotlight put on them.

People blaming a slight change in the WWE for everything. Sheesh. The logo has nothing to do with the stale product. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against everything in the product like a lot of people are, but they just need to freshen up the angles, not do a million rematches and not waste half of the shows on meaningless recaps.

It forced them to build stars up and down the card on two shows. People didn't realize that until it was way too ing late.

Counterpoint: NXT has been using the new logo since the Network debuted and it has been awesome the whole time.
This is a whole new level of desperation in terms of blaming why the product stinks right now...
The simple answer is we're only going to get good stuff at Wrestlemania and Summerslam because that's when they need to get people to re-subscribe to the Network. At any other point, they're just going through the motions waiting for the next cycle. The other PPV/events are just going to be extensions of Raw...

The brand split wouldn't work in todays era. Care to elaborate on why? The current writing team can't come up with three compelling hours for a thin roster on Monday, do you really trust them to do it with the roster split into two brands?

Honestly, it might help. It would force their hand a bit in having to come up with more original ideas. That said, when the brand split was at its peak, they had two separate writing teams and production crews... They probably can't afford to do that right now with all the cuts they've had to make.

They probably can't afford to do that right now with all the cuts they've had to make. I'm not sure it would help them now but honestly, I don't see how it would be hard for them to make a team of a couple of writers for each show and splitting the rosters back up. The production crews splitting wouldn't really be needed either. Just different creative and roster but they'd have to do something immense to get people to care about SmackDown again...like finally putting Cena on that show. Or Bryan. One of the top two babyfaces has to be on that show or else reviving the brand split would be pointless.
