Wasn't he pissed about royalties from WWE 13, which led to him not resigning? He was pissed that the royalties for 2k14 were very low, but the reason they were low more than likely had something to do with THQ owing WWE 10's of millions of dollars. THQ did not make 2k14, and had nothing to do with a lesser payout for that game.

I thought I read that he was upset about being an integral part of the attitude era on 13 and not getting any money out of it. Thanks buddy

THQ did have an effect on the payout, they owed WWE around $30 million (they still owed them from WWE 13), which WWE probably took out of the wrestler's payout for WWE 2K14 so that it wouldn't drastically lower their profit for the year.

The only involvement 2K really had were final touches, publishing, and getting gold so the game was released. THQ had the game 75% done before they went bankrupt.

I'm a Foley fanatic so I hope we end up with a Dude Love eventually!
Does Mattel do the same thing Jakks did: approach the talent individually? Could Foley sign another merch deal with Mattel without signing a Legend's deal with WWE?

The reason Foley was making more was because THQ was using all 3 of his characters. Mankind, Dude Love and Cactus Jack.

I'd love a Dude Love and Wrestlemania 2000 flashback Mick Foley. It doesn't sound like we'll be getting any new figures any time soon, though. He said the royalties the WWE paid out for WWE 2K14 were lower than what was promised, and he saw no reason to renew his Legends deal. Coincidentally or not, they're now trying to do the same thing to CM Punk.
