I got the Ringside Battle set today, and I've just spent hell knows how long trying to put the table together... And it just won't go. As soon as you connect a piece, the previous piece kind of explodes off. None/few of the parts to it clip together securely. I imagine this makes it great as a breakaway table, but it's so flimsy that I can't imagine it ever taking the weight of two figures standing on top of it, or even the commentators leaning on it. Is it just me?

Mine holds fine. I got it in 2010 from the first extreme rules playset and no problems

Sounds like it could just be a bum piece. I don't have one but I can say this: My Honky Tonk Man came with a guitar that holds together fine and is actually difficult to "break" and I have the Flashback Rock where the guitar falls apart if I breathe on it.

I don't have the RSC one, but I do have 2 of the BaF version. 1 holds together fine the other kept falling apart with no effort so I ended up gluing that one together. And my Jakks announcers table is also pretty secure.

I might return the set for an exchange. It's like the parts are warped or something, the angles on them force one part out when another is connected. I just got it connected together long enough to stand a figure on top of it for about a second before it exploded.

I don't really want to glue it together, but using some kind of adhesive like blu tac might be less hassle than returning the giant, heavy box. I have a Jakks one that holds together fine, but doesn't break well. And I got the black RSC one last Christmas, which is sturdy as hell. This Mattel one looks better than them, but it's just too flimsy. I guess the production is just very inconsistent.

I bought 2 of the RSC announcer tables and they're both are fine. You must have gotten a bad one, let RSC know, they're pretty good with customer service.

Wanted one soley for the table. Hopefully they go on sale a bit.

It's Cenas fault.
No but srsly that sounds better than the RSC one that dosent break at all. The RSc one is better for display. Mattel must be better for play.

My bad, thought u bought the RSC announcer table and that was defective. I have 0 experience with the Mattel announcer table, but the 2 RSC tables I bought are fine. One is being used for display reason, and other I gave to my nephew who smashes his figures together while he plays, but his announcer table still works for display reasons until his figures put each other through the announce table. Idk how to help you with the Mattel ones, but I suggest you add a RSC Announcer table next time you make a RSC order.

I agree with you, the table is tough to put together and it also tips over because it has such a narrow base. Sometimes when I try to set a figure's legs underneath, I'll tap the inside with their feet accidentally and it'll fall forward and disassemble like botchamania.
It does look accurate though.

I wanted to return it but Mattel said thy would only give me 60 if I ship back not the full amount which ended up being 63 bucks.

Yeah, the RSC one can't be broken by a figure bump, which is weird. The Mattel one seems like if it worked right it would be much better for play, but (at least the one I have) it's too flimsy to even hold together for that right. The instructions make it seem like the parts are meant to audibly clip together, but mine don't really do that. I agree with you, the table is tough to put together and it also tips over because it has such a narrow base. Sometimes when I try to set a figure's legs underneath, I'll tap the inside with their feet accidentally and it'll fall forward and disassemble like botchamania. It does look accurate though. I'm dreading the thought of assembling it and trying to get the commentators underneath it.
