I was at TRU today and had Elite 28 John Cena in my hand, and then put it back. I do not really like him at all, and just do not really want him in my collection.
What do you guys do about wrestlers you do not like? Do you still get at least one for your collection? I feel the same way about Big Show, but there is like 30 of him all over town right now.
Also: If I was to add a Cena to the collection, any suggestions?

I have some guys I'm not a huge fan of, just because I like having as complete of a roster as I can with a variety of characters. If you want to add a Cena, I'd say DM, BoPPV in Green, or E17.

Elite 17 "Rise Above Hate" is still the quintessential Cena figure IMO. I think I literally bought the last loose one RSC had for sale.
I felt compelled to upgrade my all black Big Show to one of his new camo Elites, but then, I realized I just don't want to spend anymore money on ****in' Big Show of all people. Same thing with Sheamus. Anytime I see them on TV, I go "ugh" and fast forward on the DVR.
I used to want one of everyone on the roster during the Jakks days. Now I just stick to my favorites.

He's more like jobbing to my collection. Had to build Heyman, and he came with VAC title

I will get figures of wrestlers who aren't high on my list of favorites if they have established an important legacy in WWE. So I have 3 John Cenas: DM Raw Draft, the purple shirt, and the 10 Years Strong dark blue shirt. Only other Cena I would consider at this point is a debut Cena in his original wrestling attire. I also have 2 Randy Ortons, 2 Sheamuses, 3 Big Shows, and 5 Mysterios (counting the upcoming WCW flashback figure on pre-order). I don't even remember how I ended up with so many Rey Mysterios as I'm not a fan of his but he does have some very unique and cool attires.

Im not a fan but I decided that whether I like it or not, Cena IS one of the top professional wrestlers ever so I got the orange BOPPV one and DM since I actually liked him when he was a fast crap talking heel rapper.

Yeah
Elite 17 - One of the best figures Mattel has made imo.
The purple "Best of" elite one, forgot which series.
Basic that came with the ring and Del Rio
WM "poopy face" Cena
Basic in camo shorts (not sure which series)
I want more though. I still plan on fixing up an Orange 2010 Cena with the new jorts mold and smile scan.

I have a few. IMO he is the one figure Mattel has put out that has maintained the highest quality. I would prefer them to all have cloth shirts, but I get that costs are high blah blah blah. Anyway, I have about 4 elites I think, and about 5 basics of him.

I own every Elite Cena, I have to have every figure from every elite series or it feels like I'm holding in a sneeze.

Indeed he is. 6 total elite versions. I recommend getting the E23 version of Cena.

I think you should add a Cena to your collection; he's been such a big part of the WWE for the past 10-12 years that it'd be a shame not to have at least one in basic form in your collection. Plus RSC has really good deals on loose elite Cena's, priced cheaper than retail basics, coming with all of the accessories, and their loose typically means in displayed only condition.

If there is a wrestler I dont like then usually I dont want to buy the figure. Not that I dont want the figure in my collection, its just I dont want to support that wrestler. Like for example I HATE Hbk. But I have him in my collection. I was able to get a great price for the Rockers tag team on RSC so I picked him up in his jobber attire. And then later on Target had a sale this easter where basically an elite figure came out to 7 dollars so I picked up the WM elite of HBK that came out this year.
With Cena, Mattel makes him so much I hate the idea of buying Cena. Mostly because I know eventually Mattel will put him in a two pack with someone I actually want. OR they put him in a BAF line so you're forced to buy a Cena if you want a BAF. The first Cena I bought was the Defining Moments Cena. I found it at Marshall's for 7 dollars. I picked it up mostly because that figure came with two belts. Then later I found a Live Event Cena at Kmart on clearance for a couple of dollars so I bought him again. And then I found a few Champion Collection packs real cheap so I picked up 3 of them and in each one there is a Cena. And lastly I bought Cena because I wanted the BAF Heyman. I've sold off all of my Cenas except the Live event, and the Defining Moment one.
Still, I knew I would end up getting a Cena cause I dont hate him that much. I just hate that Mattel makes him in every other line. HBK I truly Hate though, had I not found his figures very cheap I wouldnt have paid for them. Hbk Jobs every time I pose my figures, someone usually just steps on his chest and pins him that way.

I have two basics, both bought off of RSC loose for about $2. I want at least one of every wrestler in my collection, and I always buy figures that are good deals. May get an elite in the future if it comes with cool accessories.
