never understood why people buy something just to leave in the package and put up on a shelf. Part of the fun imo is taking out the figure and manipulating it into poses or whatever. thats where the fun begins for me.

Here is one of my figures that lost an eyebrow. Damn and basic 35 isn't even a year old. Shouldn't happen so easily. It sucks and if you try to display him it looks so weird. Mattel's quality is a home run on some and others not so much.

I used to play with basics and keep elites moc but then I commited the cardinal sin of moc collecting; I opened all my mocs. Then I displayed them all together so I don't really play anymore.

A little bit of both. Lately I have been playing with them with my 3 year old daughter. Her favorite is my C.M. Punk figures.

yeah? I'd like to see that some time.I just display. Well, I will occasionally do fixups and I like to pose them and have them sit on an end table next to me for a time until they go on the shelf. Sometimes I tell myself, maybe some day I will try for an honest play, but it never feels right. Maybe if I did animation or a pic fed it would be different..... I bet you would...

Display only but also pose.
My daughter is obsessed with them though, we bash some Basic figures together from time to time.

I collect & display MOC. I stopped playing with toys in my early teens. MOC collector so I only display. But my son has a few "wrestling fingers" lol, he's 4, any who, I play with him and his collection a fair bit. So I guess I do both. My son is also 4. He has a ring and these figs..... Basic Hhh Basic Kane Basic Undertaker E27 Billy gunn E26 Road dogg L4 Ultimate warrior E2? Giant E29 Andre the giant Wmxxx Shawn michaels E28 Crush Amazon Mankind L6 Vader Wmxxx Bret hart E2? Honky tonk man I play with them with him a lot. He wants animal so bad right now (I wait for retail) I have many others moc that I paid too much for to play with so they stay packed away. Sorry, but apart from the three basics, why would a 4 year old, have any of these figures? Out of curiosity, how do you play with them? Like you actually have matches and make them do moves while sounding out action and commentary? I'm not trying to sound funny or tease, just having a tough time imagining a grown man playing with figures. (Not that anything is wrong with that). I just keep my figures in a box and take a look at them and pose them . When I finally settle in my next home , they'll be displayed but would love to animate them too. I'd like to play with them but don't have the interest Yeah. I pick an era and a company and try to book a card with the figs I have and play out matches, interviews and angles. I find it entertaining, fun, and often a creative challenge. I have a firm belief that toys are meant to be played with. Yes they are... by children - not men in their 30's.
