That's awesome man. Makes me smile because I know how much I enjoyed playing with all those old WWF Hasbro figures.

Its special to me...seeing my kids play with these. It brings back such great memories. I can still remember running into Toys R Us to see if they had any new figures. Remember back in the day we didn't have internet or any other platforms aside from our wrestling magazines which I remember would tell you the month certain series were being released. Made obtaining so much more exciting. Until joining this forum I had absolutely no idea about 2ups (which I think are the coolest rarities by far) prototypes etc. I do remember hearing about the moon belly kamala back in the day though... I respect the knowledge and collections you all have amassed. Its truly amazing. Makes me wanna start my own collection but this time keeping them unopened! How hard would it be to get a collection going nowadays?

How hard would it be to get a collection going nowadays? I don't know if I would say it's hard to start a collection, but it definitely takes money and dedication. If you wanted to start a MOC (Mint on Card) Hasbro collection, your cheapest route and if you aren't picky about the wording on the packaging, would be to buy them on foreign or Spanish cards. They seem pretty cheap and easy to find on eBay. However, if you ARE picky about the wording on the packaging, then it's going to get expensive for you and quick. The U.S. carded figures can get pretty damn expensive, especially the more rare ones like Koko B. Ware, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake #2, and Mr. Perfect. Those are very expensive to get on U.S. cards, but are much cheaper on foreign or Spanish cards. I'm not picky when it comes to that. I think they ALL look great MOC no matter what they say on the packaging. It all depends on which route you want to go. All up to you brother.

Damn, you ain't kidding! Just saw a sold ebay listing for Macho Man series 1 - $306!!
I definitely see this getting expensive...but i think it might be really neat to relive these memories through a collection.
I am quite particular about things...so i might just consider going after US. Even though its more pricey, there is absolutely no rush in getting it completed. Its something id like to enjoy and maybe eventually share with my kids.
One question...i have seen some posts about these 2UPS. exactly how hard is it to come by one? For whatever reason they completely fascinate me and im sure they are boku $$$$ but im just very curious.

Well it's very true that if you start collecting them, that there is no rush to complete it. aim to buy at least 1 Moc hasbro every month, maybe if you are lucky you can get 2 or 3 a month if the prices are right. I rarely buy WWF LJN figures (loose) but slowly working on a full loose set

thanks for the insight guys. Would it be alright to share any concerns here if I come across some? I am a total virgin with all this stuff. Would hate to shell out money and get played. Thanks in advance! Glad to be part of this forum!

I started buying, and some I over paid for just because I wanted them to be English MOC and in great condition. You can find good deals if you're patient though. I actually sold all of my doubles and more worn/damaged carded figures recently. I actually got a heck of a lot more than I expected too. For the most part I have all of the standard release rare figures. I have too much nostalgia for these things that money wasn't an object.

I hadn't looked on eBay in some time actually. I sold a MOC lot of 7 figures to a fella. A couple foreign carded figures (Akeem & Steamboat) and some easy to find US carded figures (I.R.S., Crush, Kamala etc.) I just now noticed he is reselling them all for about double what he paid for each. (I'm pretty sure they are the same figures) Also, selling the Akeem at a premium. SMH, kind of makes me sick.

I just recently gave my 2 year old daughter my old Ljn's and she loves them! I came home the other day to find kamala in the baby stroller all done up, and the hulkster tucked into a blanky.
