What a fantastic day!
Was going to an Eric Bischoff autograph signing in Langhorne, PA..... Oxford Valley Mall.
When I got there - there were only two people in line. So, since I didn't feel the need to wait in line, I decided to browse around the mall... there was one of those "Toys R Us Express" stores, so I thought I'd check it out, even though I don't usually find anything in those places.... imagine my surprise when I found this!
What a great find! I actually haven't bought ANY of the others from the Jim Ross set yet - I'm waiting for a good sale - but I knew I needed to grab the Curtis Axel if I ever saw it!
Next, I headed to the shop where Eric would be appearing - I had never been to "George's Collectibles" before.... I may have injured my neck, as it snapped back at the sight of this figure selection;
This place is like figure heaven! With slightly high prices.... and by "slightly" - I mean, really high prices....
Then, I saw the holy grail... the one figure I've been searching for....the Purple-shirt Macho Man! I would have bought it - but it was $29.99.... ah, too much for a basic. Guess I'll keep checking Wal Mart.... I'm not that desperate yet.
But it was so tempting to finally see the Purple-shirt Macho Man....
Next..... Easy E showed up - early! What a refreshing change from the lateness I've experienced with Mick Foley, Roddy Piper, and Scott Hall..... he looked pretty ticked off - maybe because only about twenty people had shown up? The guy in front of me commented "he doesn't look too happy to be here." Then - it was the strangest thing I've ever seen..... it was like a switch went off - and suddenly, he was extremely friendly and nice to everyone! Guess Easy E knows how to turn on the old charm when he punches the clock!
When I got to meet him - I thanked him for so many hours of fun television. "We also put out a lot of crap," he said, looking me straight in the eye, but giving me that trademark grin.... we laughed together, then took this photo!
I didn't stick around to see how many more people showed up (or how many did not show up). It was time to do some more figure hunting!
Headed to Target.... where I found these guys!
Very cool pickups! I got the Daniel Bryan for my son.... he's upset because the waist is very loose on this figure.... it swivels pretty freely...
I told him maybe some belts would help with the problem....
And I had to sift through several Cesaros.... many of them had bad paint ops, especially on the boots! Mattel, Quality Control please!
Next up - Wal Mart..... where I found this guy! Glad to know SOME Wal Marts are stocking Elites these days! My home one hasn't had any since January...
Also found Goldust! Awesome figure! Set him up with my older Elite Cody Rhodes..... looks great!
I took my E29 Goldust wig and applied it to the Goldust Basic that I had, along with an original Goldust robe - and the end result turned out pretty great!
Since I haven't posted in a while.... also wanted to share some other pickups I've had over the last few weeks....
My Mankind came in the mail!
And found these two at Toys R Us!
Also have had many flea market finds lately!
I actually bought these two from Mark Yeaton, FORMER WWE Timekeeper.... he has a figure store, called "Keeping Time Collectibles."
I want to thank George's Cards & Collectibles for a great day today! Meeting Eric Bischoff is something I never thought I would get to do!
Thanks for looking!
