Some people really do take this stuff wayyyyy too seriously. That Flair is on point! It's not that I take figures that seriously. I just take being lied to seriously. I also take being short changed seriously. How were you even being lied to?

Buy any Defining Moment, other than Flair. The figure will reflect the attire a wrestler wore at a certain ppv. And also the package will have a gold stand for the figure. So the company established what the customer should expect, but they changed all that with this figure, they deceived us all.

I have both the Elite and Basic Wyatts - I'm fine with them how they are, but that's just me.

Dont recall Cena, Steamboat, Austin or Triple H wearing those particular attires at any PPV. Now true yes, they did wear them at an event but Flair wore his Carolina blue attire at Starrcade 83 (his most infamous NWA Win) and the black robe at the Royal Rumble (His most infamous WWF Win)....they lumped his two defining moments into one figure. I see nothing wrong with that.....and complaining about the gold stand? Seriously...They did away with stands years ago. Anyone that was expecting one was just fooling themselves.

It would've been nice had they included a stand and nametag for Ric Flair. I agree with that. Or at the least a nametag. The reason they mismoshed the attire and robe was so they didn't have to make every Flair (even though they're doing it with Warrior, Macho, Taker and HBK, it seems)
The only really truly big disappointment I have (and it's minor) is the Summerslam Heritage Triple H neck. That's still got me a bit butthurt. Such a great figure and he's a giraffe.
I guess the Rowan figure is a bit of a problem, even if he never raises his arms, that's not the point.

Well first of all, Ric has had SEVERAL defining moments but I'm pretty sure Bill said that when they got the rights to do Flair the worked on him right away. He made a Flair that would be pleasing to the OVERALL collector demographic. Did he ever wear those trunks with that robe in that era? No. Or probably not ever but who cares? If we only ever got ONE Flair from Mattel, it is still a damn good one. Besides, you made the purchase despite knowing damn well what he looked like and came with. Yes I did purchase TWO flairs. That's why as a paying customer I feel I have the right to voice my dissatisfaction on how Mattel performed with this figure. I bought the Flair because I wanted a Ric Flair. I bought the figure because I know online exclusives tend to cost much more later on after their release. I bought the Flair because it's a new outing by mattel, Im the type of customer who will purchase a figure if that figure hasnt been made before. I love that you agree with me that this flair represents no moment in his career btw. Yes, I agree that it doesn't represent a moment in his career (that's where our agreements end, though.) It represents SEVERAL. Now, imagine you were the head of MDT (thank God, you're not) and you had the difficult task of reviving a cancelled line of of action figures and making sure you make the first one a sure-fire hit and that the line's future depended on that one figure. Would you make an obscure attire (and end up alienating certain demographics) or make a definitive mix taken from different well known attires (& please most of the demographics, ensuring it will sell well). If you want to take the Defining Moments title literally, I don't see how Ricky Steamboats dragon suit makes it a "defining moment" in his career. To me, he had a LOT more defining moments in WcW. BUT, I still bought it cause I liked it. Undertaker's Bat suit (again, to me) isn't a defining moment, its just a one-off costume most people thought looked cool, but defining moment? Hardly. The Warrior figure (while really really cool) is still missing the tassels on the duster he wore. Same goes with DM1 Savage, he didn't have the tank he wore DURING the match. You see, the line has had flaws before this Ric came out but its hard to be COMPLETELY accurate with any of these figs (see there's this thing called A Budget, that MDT has to adhere to. Cause you know, their LIVELYHOOD depends on it.) Yes, you CAN voice your opinion (btw, opinion and whining are two different things) but ultimately you voted with your wallet. And if I was MDT, I'd be laughing at you straight to the bank. But I'm not, so I'll just back and ENJOY my DM Ric Flair.Woooooo!

As a customer if you pay for Defining Moments, I feel, you should be expecting everything that comes with Defining Moments. I did not buy an elite line figure, I bought a Defining Moments. Had I purchased an Elite line figure then I wouldnt expect a stand. Also Flair's Robe looks like it's from the 91 Rumble. His attire, you say, looks like 83 Starcade, and his face though looks like 2001 Flair. And his torso looks like no Flair ever. The figure, as far as looks go, is all over the place. I think they just rushed to get a Flair figure out there with out caring what he looked like and with the full intent to charge as much as possible for their rushed work.

Expecting them just because the older figures had them would be foolish.

Milincoln, seriously...these might be different lines, but I'm willing to bet they all roll up into a larger budget for Mattel toy divisions - Barbie, He-man, WWE, etc. if the cancelation of the stands was a cost cutting measure don't you think the cost of manufacturing a black or gold stand would be the same damn thing and warrant the change? Why is a colour dye the differentiator in deciding whether a piece of the same plastic should be included or not?
Now your just trolling.
