I couldn't sleep tonight, so I decided to watch some old wrestling on the WWE Network. I picked the 1993 Royal Rumble to watch...and I loved every minute.
If you collect Hasbros, it's like watching your figures come to life. Nearly ever contestant in the actual Rumble match is wearing his Hasbro gear.
I think only 3 or 4 in the match aren't in the Hasbro line. Backlund, Demento, some Japanese guy and maybe one or two others.

^ yup, it was pretty cool to think of it like that...i believe a total of 7 wrestlers in the rumble match did not have hasbros (backlund, lawler, moon, tenryu, colon, demento and terry taylor)
1992 rumble actually had the most wrestlers with hasbros in it, at 25... the 5 in the rumble with no hasbro are Haku, Barbarian, Hercules, Volkoff, and Col Mustafa.... i remember this by heart as I have seen this rumble soo many times because of how epic it was...
i checked 1990 and 1991 and they each had 7 guys without hasbros..1994 had 10 guys (tho 4 were rumored to be in the orange series)
If we compare this with LJN figures, i believe hasbros had more guys in rumble than LJN each during their prime years... 1988 rumble had 14/20 and 1989 had had 17/30 (line was already dead basically)

Imagine a Max Moon Hasbro. That would have sold millions.

I believe if you look at Wrestlemania VIII, that everyone on the card had a Hasbro figure. That is pretty impressive!

one of those childhood memories that stick out but I cannot help but hate on how Yoko won. Savage going for a pin made zero sense...

Great thread and cool stats. May not have been the best rumble (92 in my opinion-hands down) but still good childhood memories. I now have an urge to make a max moon custom tho!!!!

Yes indeed those early 90s rumbles make me want to start up a Hasbro collection again

Imagine a Max Moon Hasbro. That would have sold millions. Got my pic with him on an Australian tour. I wonder who was under the mask?

^ u got ur pic with max moon back in the day? if so, it was Konnan who played Max Moon.. for the most part, it was Paul Diamond. Konnan quit shortly into the gimmick. You'll notice when Konnan quit being Max Moon, because all of a sudden Max Moon quits doing lucha rolls and taking lucha bumps. It's kind of a Matt Bourne Doink deal. Bourne was the best, but didn't keep it long.
