People are moaning that John Cena vs Brock Lesnar wasn't entertaining. The reality is, was that it was booked realistic. It was booked as though it was a UFC fight. The more the Match went on, it had me thinking Cena is going to have his comeback and win out of no where. But it never came. It was different to anything we'd seen before, and it caught us off guard. Yes we could of seen a good end to end Match with false finishes galore. But this is the reality era. It also worked better for Cena too, as if he was going to lose he looks better by putting all of the focus on Lesnar, rather than just coming up short.
The downside however, is if Lesnar can dominate the main WWE Champion the Company has, then it will be hard to buy into anyone beating him. I genuinely think Daniel Bryan will be the biggest payoff now, touching on how Eddie done it at No Way Out 2004 as the ultimate underdog.

Maybe not the over reliance on one move, but the dominance. I didn't find it at all entertaining and I hope they aren't able to keep it going till Wrestlemania

It might be one of my top 5 mark out moments of all time.. That is only IF this is what they're doing.. Big if here.

LOL! Paige winning clean was lame and didn't make sense the way it was done. AJ doesn't kick out of a DDT when she kicked out of Kaitlyn's spear the year before? Just doesn't seem legit to me. Haven't been impressed with Paige ring work in WWE, the best part of the match was AJ's clothesline to the outside. If AJ doesn't leave WWE and the feud continues hope she regains the championship at NOC since everyone has already seen how Paige first championship reign sucked... This is sink or swim for Paige if she continues to have poor reactions and has another poor reign than she might be done.
Stephanie looked pretty good for someone who hasn't been in the ring for years totally stole that match. I noticed Brie is struggling to get over with the crowd. For the majority of the match the crowd was backing Steph which is not good when she's the heel... Brie only got reaction when she was doing Daniel's moves and the Yes! chant. I'm afraid in this case the authority is right... the Yes! chant is over no the person doing it.
Reigns vs Randy was a surprise, a good one. I mean I'm a little disappointed Reigns didn't bring more moves up but the match it self was good with some cool spots( Counter into RKO and the Spear Counter) you can say the spots were good because of Randy and it's fair but they were also good because of Reigns got to give both guys credits.
Loved the Main Event. Cena is officially Lesnar's BITCH! Nuff Said...

I am in complete shock over how Cena was dominated. I can't wait to see where he goes from here.
Also, I thought Pagie and AJ had an excellent match.

Its interesting how different things could be were it not for Undertaker being unable to have another match (hence them pulling the trigger on losing to Brock) and Bryan also being unable to compete. I wonder what their plans were if those two things weren't true.

Randy Orton wins the title, "He's so bland and boring, it's supposed to be Daniel Bryan's time" Daniel Bryan wins title, "He's overrated and only over because of the Yes chant" John Cena wins title, "Same old poop. Anybody but Cena" Brock Lesnar wins title, "Ugh, a part time is Champion. Put the belt on someone else"
A large chunk of the IWC in a nutshell.

Enjoyed the PPV a lot, one of the best SummerSlam's ever to me but I'm still not sure if it was better than last years event.
Rollins/Ambrose and Swagger/Rusev were the matches of the night, Jericho/Wyatt was good and an improvement from their Battleground match, Paige/AJ was actually entertaining and so was Steph/Brie, Orton/Reigns was good with a sick RKO spot, Ziggler/Miz was a good opener with a nice ending and Brock/Cena was ... meh.
A part of me loves the way the Brock/Cena match went down but another part of me wanted to see a classic like their Extreme Rules match. At least Brock looked like a legit beast.

I still feel really strange about this whole show. I'm going to try to find the time to watch it again before Raw tonight to sort out my feelings.

I've been pretty anti Brock for a while. Just dislike what he stands for in terms of wrestling. Gets paid millions and treated like a huge deal yet does limited appearances because he simply doesnt want to work them. He has no other obligations to my knowledge, it just irks me I suppose.

Rewatching the main event.
That match might not have any arm-drags or dropkicks but there hasn't been a match that so perfectly told a story like that in a LONG time. And it is holding up well during my second viewing.

Thank you and please refrain from doing it again. This goes for everyone in this thread.

When he isnt involved in WWE he is always doing a boat load of work, still doing Hercules promotion yet that movie came out a month ago. Brock just doesnt want to be there, huge difference.

Quite possibly the best Summerslam I've ever seen, truly fantastic! Kinda glad it we never got Bryan/Lesnar in hindsight because the bitching would be too damn much.
