Elites. They're usually more colorful and come with accessories.

When I started buying Mattel's, I SWORE to myself I would only buy Elite's (and defining moments, legends, etc - basically any of the elite style figures).....Well, that last about 2 months until I'd gotten my hands on most of the more available Elite's and got bored - now I've got almost all basics since mid 2012 hahha.
That being said, I still always prefer the Elite's. I think the quality and the detail that goes into them is fantastic and I'm very rarely disappointed with what they put out.

Elites for the most part. But, Divas and managers, basics have to be purchased. I also bought a couple of the t shirt basics from Walmart. I liked the look of them. I swapped 1 head, BP Vince on a COO HHH. The at is all the basics I have or will get.

I will get some basics, but I am an elite guy. The better detail and poseability are important to me.

Personally, I prefer elites over basics but there are several reasons I will buy a basic figure: 1) It's an RVD figure - gotta get them all! 2) It's an attire I really like Macho Punk or Hitman Punk. 3) Its someone who doesn't have an elite like M$M Ted DiBiase, Shelton Benjamin, or Tommy Dreamerl. 4) I don't like a wrestler enough to spend the money on an elite like MVP, Santino, Khali, the Usos, or Curtis Axel; buying the basic satisfies the completist in me without breaking the bank.

I never buy basics anymore. Since 2010 I've bought maybe 2 basic figures which were just for headswaps/armswaps. I appreciate the elites because of their articulation, which is important to me because I'm an animator. I also appreciate the additional accessories and details put into the Elite figures. It is the bigger budget line after all.

Elites are better, basics are only good if they have a good head scan

I dont play with my figures, i buy them because they look cool and look good on display to "recreate the action of the wwe" i only buy basics if its a first time in the line figure (bray, shield, wyatts, usos, etc) to hold me off untill the elites come. Ill also. Ill also buy basics if we probably wont get a elite of that character (hitman punk, prime time players, etc)

Eh, I buy both. Most basics just go on my shelf for display, but I animate with the elites.

I collect all Elite style figures minus some Legends and Ringside Exclusives. I'd run out of room if I started collecting Basics as well. The only Basic figures I have are some of the Divas.

for me it's all about accuracy since I just display my collection.
So if I can find a basic that has a complete and accurate attire, I won't find the need for an Elite unless it's a wrestler I like.
With that said, majority of my Mattel figures are elites.

I buy both. Elite's mainly for flashbacks and BAF's that I need to complete the figure that I can't get from the classifieds

Basics or Elites makes no difference to me. As long as it is someone I like I am buying it. same....sometimes i prefer basics(tensai, big E) && then there's times i pass basics because i know the elites will be here soon.....like the Wyatts.

Elites all the way! I had one basic and it just didn't seemed right compared to an Elite.

I like Elites because of the extra movement & accessories.

I prefer Elites due to articulation, but if there is a specific attire that I like on a guy that is only available in Basic, I will pick that over their Elite figure. Examples include:
Sheamus in green trunks Damien Sandow in white trunks Cody Rhodes in white/black trunks DH Smith in white/pink trunks

I buy everything I want, basic or elite
but i like Elites better especially when we get cool accessories, shirts or entrance gear or belts with them.
