Every Jakks figure I ever had as a kid I played with. With Mattel though I'm a MOC collector only besides a couple favorites who I buy two of to open one.

I have both MOC and loose. But I think its a complete waste to keep all of your figures MOC. You never really appreciate what you have until its in your hands. You can admire the colors, facial scans, accessories,
molds, etc VS MOC you have it in a box looking to make a quick buck off of.
Besides, I just turned 30 and I still play the hell out of my figures! Ill set em up in my arena and have Royal Rumble matches, Money in the Bank feuds, with NO SHAME! lol

If I collected CS I'd prob keep them MOC. Always thought they had resealable boxes until I bought my first MOC one, Taz. So no. Loose all da way

I'm a part of the rare group of playing with my figures. Matches with my hands, animating, pic feds. I only have 2 MOC figures. I also display from time to time.
Call me a child, but it's fun.

All loose, I've tried to have a few MOC but can't help myself and always feel the need to open em. I feel like I just don't enjoy them otherwise.

I get why some people like to keep them MOC and it will probably pay off for them in the long run I have both MOC and loose. But I think its a complete waste to keep all of your figures MOC. You never really appreciate what you have until its in your hands. You can admire the colors, facial scans, accessories, molds, etc VS MOC you have it in a box looking to make a quick buck off of. It seems to be a common misconception among loose collectors that MOC collectors can't possibly enjoy the figures or collecting as much - SO UNTRUE. Seriously. Another misconception is that we're all storing them away to sell later or profit from them - again, SO UNTRUE. I have no intention of ever selling my figures... I hate even the thought of it(!). As I said before though - most loose collectors can't/don't understand why people collect MOC... and probably never will.

When I was a child I opened every figure, because I wanted to play with them. However, as an adult collector, I've kept everything MOC, because not being a child anymore I don't play with them, so have no reason to open them. Not only does it protect the figure, I just like the look of them in the packaging, and they look good hanging on the wall. I can't hang a loose figure on the wall and I have no units or shelving to stand them on, anyway. I just wish I'd kept all my childhood, vintage toys, like my WWF Hasbros, my HE-Man's, and above all, my Star Wars figures MOC now.

I don't mean you're LOOKING to profit on it, but the option for profit will inevitably be there. I get why some people collect MOC. Down the line, it's cool to say that you got them in all original boxing etc. For example, there's some people out there who still have BCA Series 1 and Hasbros MOC and I think thats incredible.

I began collecting MOC around a year ago and am quickly running out of space. I mainly collect Elites, plus the odd basic/BP here and there that I like.
I may have to switch to collecting loose pretty soon, keeping only the RSC Exclusives MOC. I don't ever plan on selling, but it seems even loose figures fetch a decent price, so long as they have all of the accessories with them.

Exclusives I try to keep MOC. Or I'll open, have a quick suss of it and put it back in. I prefer getting them in package even if I intend to open it. It just feels getting loose figures for me.

Loose. Takes up far less space, and I like to pose them for display on the shelf. They just look better to me, especially since they change the packaging design so its not like they all match.
