Honestly, he's not even needed anymore. Aside from the surprise pop of him returning, what else is he good for? Arrogant piece of crap...hope he sticks to his word.

But what about his chest hair?? Anyway, enough of this chump. Enough is enough. Let him be gone or whatever. I know their are a lot of his fans here but even you have to be sick of this talk. Too bad it won't ever end. And so what if he returns. I guarantee the ratings wouldn't be any higher than last weeks show. The same people who were watching when Punk was active are the same who are watching now.
I highly doubt the WWE lost any fans due to Punk leaving.

when I saw this video about 2 hours ago, I was already imagining the bashing it would get when posted on Wfigs.
I am surprised that the bashing has been kept at a minimal.
with that said, I am always happy to see him enjoying life at no one's expense. He looks happy and may it last a long time.

Looks healthy. Sad to see this, though. Even if he might come back some day, it just sucks to see one of your favorite wrestlers completely denounce it. His own attitude ed everyone who's a fan of his.

Clearly was being sarcastic and not serious. Right after he says "never ever ever" he even shakes his head and says "I dunno" under his breath. He doesn't want to talk about wrestling right now, so whenever anyone brings the subject up he talks about it sarcastically just like Jericho used to when he was strictly doing his music stuff and needed a break.

I highly doubt the WWE lost any fans due to Punk leaving. You can count me as a fan they lost.

He'll be back hes not the first to say that and he's damn sure not the last just simply wait on it. Exactly. I'm sure he'll stay away for a while more but I expect him to come back after like 1-3 years even if it is just a short final run (potential one of many short runs like Jericho does atm).

Here's him presenting an award tonight. Towards the end of his speech he mentions pro wrestling, as the winner is a major pro wrestling fan. While he does still kind of insult it at a point -- he mentions that Billy Corgan, the winner, is probably a bigger fan than he is -- he still refers to himself as a wrestler in the present tense multiple times. If you notice, for a split second, he seems to maybe even get a little emotional about it. Maybe he still does care.

During his speech about wrestlers and rock stars his lips start to quiver a bit, then he takes a small pause to regain in. He probably does care deep down, but he doesn't want to show it. Hopefully he comes back someday.

He's just enjoying his time away. People need to stop clinging on. At the end of the day he realised there was no spot for him at the top for the foreseeable future, at least in terms of having a serious lengthy Title run again. He would of slowly been faded into a Jericho type role of helping to build future talent. He's holding off for a few years, basically skipping this whole transitional part, and hoping that when the time is right he can return for a Lesnar type deal where he returns for Wrestlemania and Summerslam Season... which in reality is everything he said he hates.

The thing is, unless he does something big outside of wrestling, he's not a big enough star for a Rock/Lesnar deal. And he's probably too big a star for the Jericho/RVD deal. So it's hard to imagine him coming back like either of those groups. Plus if he came back as a part timer, the fans that hate part timers would turn on him. Maybe he'd use that to his advantage, his promos could draw incredible heat from them. I suspect it always bugged him that he could never get over as a heel with certain types of fans... This could be his chance to finally do so. He did go on record saying he wished he could do the Undertaker/Lesnar/Rock type schedule.

I think he is just kidding with us. He'll be back. Later rather than sooner though.

If he comes back, I hope he doesn't go straight to the main event scene. If he never comes back, ok. We have other great talent to support.
