how can creative have problems figuring out what to do with Ric Flair? Because he has absolutely nothing to offer the WWE in 2014.

how can creative have problems figuring out what to do with Ric Flair? Because he's an unreliable old drunk that they can't have wrestle, and he has a very hard time sticking to the point and/or getting another talent over just by talking. He was an embarrassment to himself and the company during his WrestleMania week panel appearances on the network, I was cringing watching that. He was even worse at last year's 2K/SummerSlam panel. As a manager, he'd likely overshadow anybody they put him with, like he did with AJ Styles in TNA. Ric Flair doesn't have all his marbles anymore, he's a very difficult character (well the performer moreso) to write a weekly role for. It's basically a case of finding a way for him to do the crazy old perv gimmick without causing too much trouble. That event was amazing.

I cant watch him anymore, he makes me cringe when he cuts a promo. Hope he finds some peace with himself, I know with his son passing hes got his issues so i wish him the best. If he would just cut a promo without trying to be so corny i could watch him. He did look healthier on Raw, lost a few lbs since i last seen him.

I'd say it was a good decision given his segment on Raw Monday.

how can creative have problems figuring out what to do with Ric Flair? Because he has absolutely nothing to offer the WWE in 2014. I'm not sure he has "nothing" to offer, just like I'm not sure his last few Raw appearances have been sloppy, booze-fueled promos. However, (just my opinion here) his mind has tacked an arrogance and a swagger to his delivery that his age can't accommodate. His previous run as Slick Ric wasn't terrible, but I just think he's reached an age where he can't pull it off like he used to. It's sad but they all hit that point in their careers. Look at Hogan. It appears he now knows that his in ring action is done, but minus the Spinal Tap moment at Wrestlemania, he can still work the mic when he needs to. And I'm sure to offend a few of you here, but I can't remember any GM angles from the past that really worked for any length of time, and I can't see Flair in that role working anymore either.

Moving forward he could turn on Cena because he does not want Cena to get close to his title reign of 16 and or screw Cena over as Rollins cashes in thus putting Rollins with Flair. I don't think Rollins "needs" Flair, but it would be a good way to have Flair around and the story line would at least make sense.

He isn't needed in any storylines... yet.
It's like HBK last year, sure him and Bryan would be good but he wasn't needed in the long run, as shown at WM30

I love Flair, but, as has been said, he keeps showing up drunk.

Theirs so much that can be done with Flair in a none wrestling role at this point in his career. You could have be a manger to his daughter Charlotte or Dolph Ziggler(Something Flair himself has said he wants to due and has ask the WWE on multiple occasions),he could be the on air GM alined with The Authority.Best of all he could start up a new heel stable like a Four Horsemen/Evolution with lets say himself,Batista,Ziggler,Rhodes,Dallas and Charlotte.
Lots of thing that he could due instead of just appearing and saying he who he thinks will win on Sunday, which is a total waste of his time and of a legend like himself.

I was live at Raw last week. He still got a nice pop from the crowd. One thing I noticed, which was partially visible on TV was how out of touch Flair is with the current product. This is evidenced by his looking up at the ramp when Roman Reign's music hit.
I sat to the left of the stage. When Reign's music hit, Flair was looking at the stage instead of in the crowd where Reigns would normally enter. They tried to film it in a manner that wouldn't make it look obvious, but being it was live, they couldn't avoid showing it from one or two of the angles.
My guess is that Flair is not adding any real value and is out of touch. Triple H must have a big soft spot to keep bringing him back. They also did the belt thing with Cena/Flair. Passing of the torch for the most world title reigns? I expect to see Cena tie and pass Flair by next year for most title runs.

My "fantasy booking" would have had Flair revealing that he HATES John Cena - because he doesn't want Cena to beat his "16 Time World Heavyweight Championship" record.... and all this time he's been acting like Cena's friend in order to destroy him.
So Flair should brutally attack Cena with the old World Heavyweight (WCW) belt... make Cena BLEED.... give an intense promo about "Tradition" and how Cena doesn't represent it. All the years Flair was back in WWE - Cena NEVER gave him a title shot - then, as a manager, Flair would keep bringing young guys like Ziggler, Sandow, maybe even Alberto Del Rio or Cesaro together as a stable to keep going after Cena.... with the ultimate goal being to destroy John Cena and everything he stands for. Flair would want Cena OUT of wrestling for good, so that he can NEVER be a 16-time World Champ! And the younger guys would want Cena GONE because he's been holding them down for all these years...
It could be an interesting dynamic - because Team Flair's main goal would be keeping Cena OUT of the title picture - Cena wouldn't even necessarily have to be World Champion. Team Flair could try to eliminate Cena from the Royal Rumble - just so he can't qualify to face the Champ at WrestleMania....
I think that could be a hot, potentially long-running angle and some segments of the crowd might even support Ric Flair's new stable (the Cena Haters). And Flair would never actually wrestle - although the feud could culminate with Flair getting "beat up" by Cena or something along those lines...

*If* they didnt just fire Steamboat, they could have used Flair, Steamboat, Rhodes and Lawler as like a "Championship committee" like WCW use to portray.

Creative don't have anything for Ric Flair to do? Seriously?
Isn't it obvious - have him plug the app! Think of all those older fans he would get using this hip new technology.

This seriously deserves more attention from the board readers. God damn, sir, that would be lovely.
