2010 to 2014 would fulfill a five year contract (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014).

If TNA like getting next to no figures released then they should definitely resign with Jakks.

Their Jakks deal expires at the end of the year. Their TV deal expires in a few weeks.

Their deal started in 2010, the same as the Mattel deal with WWE.

TNA had loads of stupid lines and plans, but story-lines and kayfabe got in the way. I'm not even kidding. They just didn't know what to do with the Aces and Eights Storyline. They had made Aces and Eights figures, new attires and everything - but didn't know weither to release them under 'TNA' or make a whole new website where they'd just sell Aces and Eights gear. So, we never got those figures.

Their deal started in 2010, the same as the Mattel deal with WWE. The Mattel and Jakks deals were signed in February 2008 to then be launched in June 2010 - the deals were planned a couple of years early.

Classic mis-reading of the signs. Jakks WWE sells like crazy, let's ditch Marvel Toys (whose output was becoming amazing) for those guys. What should've been said is "WWE sells well for Jakks". Whoever makes WWE toys stands to make a fortune. And then they should've released the marvel toys Kurt Angle and Bubba Ray that we saw prototypes for and that I weep for having not been released.

I know that in the fall of 2007, the rights to 'Marvel' were given to Hasbro which left ToyBiz with TNA, Legendary Comic Book Heroes and Curious George.(https://web.archive.org/web/20080515074116/http://www.toybiz.com/). I have no information about ToyBiz other than the fact that at some point in 2008 they went out. If the Marvel rights stayed with ToyBiz, which probably would of kept the company alive, it would of rained TNA figures in stores. I TOTALLY agree. It's so heart-breaking that Brother Devon is left on his own! ToyBiz figures are my favourites!

It's so heart-breaking that Brother Devon is left on his own! ToyBiz figures are my favourites! If you read some of the articles archived on places like The Fwoosh, you get a much bigger picture of the messed up situation toybiz had at the end. And of course the blow that was dealt to Marvel Legends that they never fully recovered from. No matter how nice Marvel Legends are now, they'll never be as popular as they were during the initial toybiz years. I don't know exactly when things went sour but it was somewhere in the shift of Toybiz to Toybiz Worldwide. Marvel Legends were an in-house property as toybiz was essentially Marvel post bankruptcy and bailout. Toybiz Worldwide was something of a licensee being a different branch of toybiz, presumably like Kenner to Hasbro in the 90's. The Hasbro deal was supposedly supposed to be a temporary thing while toybiz fixed whatever issues they were having and then the rights would revert. The loss of TNA was the blow that ended it. The Legendary Comic Book Heroes line was cool and all, but it didn't sell. Curious George barely made a blip and couldn't sustain a long-lasting line. It is sad. TNA figures were incredible. That Scott Steiner was amazingly accurate. I loved that toybiz wasn't afraid to make a new mold for someone like him that could never be used again. Mattel mostly does that now, but they are still slack on guys like Batista, Triple H, and Ryback all being the same size.
