People can say all they want about how they have no interest in seeing him... but the second he appears in the ring and points the bat at someone, they'll be like teenage girls at a Backstreet Boys concert in '99.

The WWE glow looks nice on him. Plus, that was one sweet ass video.
As far as wrestling goes, the guy sits comfortably in my top 10, but his later TNA matches were not that great. If he does wrestle, it's clear it would probably only be against Taker. I guess time will tell. But, we will be getting a lot of cool Sting crap out of this deal and I'll happily hand over my money.

For me my reaction will be more like when I heard Backstreet Boys were touring again in 2014... "really?... ugh" is probably how it will go. Edit: the other thread got locked right as I was about to post so I'll put it here It's not disrespect. The guy is 55 years old. There is literally no reason for him to be wrestling in 2014. I would like to see your list of "Great" Sting TNA matches. I'd bet dollars to donuts that they are either "good matches for a 50 year old" (emphasis on good) or against people like Angle, Joe, Styles who could carry broomsticks to great matches. Sting vs. Jeff Jarrett from Bound For Glory 2006 was actually pretty damn good. He had some great brawls with Abyss, etc. Not sure why its so touchy for you. I guess it's just because I see people saying stuff like "why aren't they giving Ziggler or Cesaro or any of the younger guys more TV time?" And then I see them losing their mind about the possibility of a 55 year old and a 49 year old eating up that very TV time going into the biggest event of the year next year. It's frustrating as all hell. Sorry if I exaggerated my years since Sting has had a great match... it's still been 8 years since his last "pretty damn good" match.

Because you said on page one you weren't going to comment anymore on Sting. Yet here you are on page 3. lol. Like I said I don't want/need to see him wrestle anymore, but if he does I will mark out big time. Sting (especially Surfer) is tied with Piper as my all-Time favorite wrestler. And he along with Bret, Flair and Hogan are my Mount Rushmore of World Hesvyweight champions.

I don't "not get" the hype or the reason behind it... I just don't. Y'know what I mean? I guess it could be chalked up to I was more of a WWF fan in the late 90's when I started watching.

Oh I understand. I don't want to see Sting stick around too long. I just wanted him to sign the Legends/merchadise contract so we could finally get the DVD set, some Mattel figures and the HOF. (which he deserves) That said Part of me would love to see the "One Last Match" as long as it was just one. After that maybe just show up on "Legends Night" RAW or on other RAW's time to time like Flair is doing now. But as much as I loved watching him I don't want to see him activity wrestling on a weekly basis.

Sting is on the same level with me as Taker. And you guys know how much I love the Taker.
49..55...65...82 it doesn't matter to me. I'm a fan of both and will enjoy every time I get to see them.

Like I said above I don't need to see him wrestle on a weekly basis, but if it was one final match at WM then yes I would want to see that more than anyone else on the roster. But only as a final match.

I grew up on him in TNA and I was still excited despite his lackluster run towards the end Likewise. I grew up on Sting in TNA as well. I've never been huge on him like I am on Hardy, Edge, Jericho, and Punk, but I enjoyed and respected his work in TNA. He's had some great matches there. However, I wasn't a fan of his Joker run. Since then, I've not had the same feeling I had for Sting in 2004. The same applies to current day. If that promo got no reaction out of you, you are either clinically dead or were too young to remember Sting in wCw . Being young means nothing. In this day in age, you can rewatch history and educate yourself on stuff you missed while you were a dream. That last part is not true. Just because you watched All the President's Men cannot POSSIBLY give you the same experience as actually living through the Watergate scandel. Likewise no matter how much you watch of Sting in WCW, since you didn't watch it live is NOT the same thing.

The interview with Triple H on wwe.com really makes me excited about Stings future. I got giddy while listening to it.

If Sting was actually "in" the WWE I'd be furious. There is no reason for a 55 year old man to be taking TV time on a wrestling show in 2014... however with his deal being what it is now (basically equating to some game appearances and I imagine a DVD) I'm fine with that. I never watched much WCW but I'm aware of his big matches. He was a good wrestler that was on the decline when WCW folded in 2001... the people clamoring for him to have a match now boggles my mind... Though I promise this will be the last time I comment on the subject of Sting. I hate to break it to you, but that 55 year old will draw more than every 20-30 year old on that roster combined.

I'm just saying I would really prefer not to see it myself at this point.

Do I want him to wrestle? No, not really. But I would mark out if he did. lol He is right there with Piper at the top of my all-time favorite wrestlers list. All I've wanted was a Legends/Merchandise deal so ai could get my DVD anthology, figures, game appearance and HOF. These are my exact feelings on this. Between the recent Sting and Triple H interviews I am pretty confident that we will see him in the ring in some capacity. For those of you who were not lucky enough to see his NWA/WCW run, and the Monday Night War, as it happened, it may be hard to get the nostalgia factor. However, 10 year old me with my Galoob Sting wearing a Hasbro WWF title is marking the out for this lol.

Sting's interview with TMZ has him saying he hopes he can work out a deal with WWE and he mostly generalizes everything we've already heard. His Grantland interview, however, gives a quote that he is "all in and very willing to participate" in regards to his fans wanting to see him in the ring. He later rehashes his wish of one final match against the Undertaker, providing Taker is interested in one more WM match. I think that's what everything is hinging on. If he shows up on Raw for any reason it would be to create a storyline pitting himself against UT. Otherwise we'll see him do all the things Warrior was going to do before his passing, such as interviews, behind the scenes coaching, appearances, etc.
I wrestle (pun intended) with the idea of him having one more match at his age, especially after using a t-shirt as ring gear off an on since the final Nitro all those years ago. The thing that runs through my mind is a Legends of Wrestling episode where Pat Paterson talks about Vince making Andre go on a diet and get into shape for his final WM bout with Hogan, even though Andre was very much against it. This tells me that there is no way Vince and HHH would let Sting be anywhere near the ring at Wrestlemania without being in good shape and able to have a good to great match one last time. When I look at it this way, I can support the idea of a match.

What did he say in the interview? It won't play on my phone Basically said that people said Bruno would "never" be in the WWE and Warrior would "never" be in the WWE and people that are saying Sting will "never" be in the WWE, to "never say never" (with a smirk on his face)

Like I said in one of the other thousand threads, its pretty interesting to see the huge generational/cultural divide on The Stonger.
The young 'ns and/or people that didn't watch WCW are like WAAHHH HORSE PISS and the farts and/or people that watched WCW are like AAAHHHH PISS.
