Short and sweet:
Is it just me, or is anyone else not exited for Sting to be in WWE? Don't get me wrong, I've done my research with Sting in the past. Whether that being in WCW or in TNA. He's an amazing competitor, and wrestler. It's just not clicking for me. His WWE 2K14 debut video last night on Raw honestly did not get a reaction from me. Am I in the minority on this one?

If Sting was actually "in" the WWE I'd be furious. There is no reason for a 55 year old man to be taking TV time on a wrestling show in 2014... however with his deal being what it is now (basically equating to some game appearances and I imagine a DVD) I'm fine with that. I never watched much WCW but I'm aware of his big matches. He was a good wrestler that was on the decline when WCW folded in 2001... the people clamoring for him to have a match now boggles my mind... Though I promise this will be the last time I comment on the subject of Sting.

I think he should at least make an appearance in WWE. Im not necessarily saying a match but im not saying I wouldnt welcome it either. Sting is the one legend that WWE still has a very large opportunity to market off of since he has never been part of the company.
Alongside the fact that his character is much like Undertakers in that he has so much respect from the fans and wouldnt even really need to put on a good match for people to be satisfied. Lets be honest, if WWE has time to put on El Torito skits and promos about Sonic and Twisted Tea in 2014, then they also have time to have Sting debut and show up for at least one time.

I'm excited to see a man who is closer to 60 than 50 wrestle who hasn't excited me since about 1991.
Can't wait!

You're clearly young and aren't getting the nostalgia factor that everyone else is.

I'm indifferent. though I do hope for some type of confrontation with Taker early next year to lead to one last match for BOTH competitors at WrestleMania 31.
that said,if it doesn't happen, I'm happy with a DVD/Blu set with full documentary and years of Mattel Sting figures.

Wrestling legend Sting spoke to Mirror.co.uk this week to hype his involvement in the upcoming WWE 2K15 video game. Sting spoke about a variety of topics, including why he decided to finally work with WWE after all these years, if he's interested in joining the WWE Hall of Fame, memories of his former tag team partner The Ultimate Warrior and his desire to wrestle The Undertaker at WrestleMania 31.
Here are the highlights of what Sting said about:
Finally Working With WWE: "Why now? It's a now or never thing. I've done so many things in the wrestling business but the one thing I'd never done was wrestle or be a part of the WWE family I didn't want too hang it all up and retire and disappear again without having done that in some capacity."
Joining The WWE Hall Of Fame: "Obviously it would be a great honour to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. It's nothing that I would say no to, that's for sure."
Memories Of The Ultimate Warrior: "Now I can look back and realise just how amazing it all was. It's remarkable really that both of us ended up taking it all as far as we did."
"It would seem like every three, four, five years or so we'd bump into each other. He called me twelve years ago, he needed some help with some stuff and of course I was there to help him out as much as I could. We never really kept in contact, but it was always friendly when we did. With his resurgence with WWE I was really looking forward to reconnecting with him again, and maybe even working with him in some capacity through WWE."
Wanting To Wrestle The Undertaker: "I've made it clear I'd love to have one last hurrah, one last big match hopefully. And of course I've been outspoken about Undertaker being the opponent. I know what happened at Wrestlemania where Brock Lesnar broke his streak. I think, or at least I'm hoping, that Taker's still going to come back and that he's not done. If he's not done, and he would consider doing it, I'd love to work with him one time.
"I'd love to wrestle him one time before I call it quits. Undertaker maintained a status in wrestling and the WWE that is second to none. He's a phenomenon,"
"How about San Francisco, 2015, in April?"

Imagine if Larry Bird came back to play for the Celtics for one more game.....Sting joining WWE is what it would equate to. Yes, the guy is past his prime but he's unquestionably one of the Top 10 greatest of all time.

Do I want him to wrestle? No, not really. But I would mark out if he did. lol He is right there with Piper at the top of my all-time favorite wrestlers list.
All I've wanted was a Legends/Merchandise deal so ai could get my DVD anthology, figures, game appearance and HOF.

I would love to see Sting partnered up with someone at next years WM.....something like Rock & Sting vs HHH & orton or something yknow? I think a tag match is the best option to disguise his weaknesses and it has marquee value for WM Rock comes back after the RR and is cutting a promo. The Authority(hopefully beefed up with new members) comes out and interrupts cue a sting promo between HHH & Rock......things go back and forth and we get Rock choosing Sting as his partner for WM against HHH & Orton something like that y'know?

I grew up on him in TNA and I was still excited despite his lackluster run towards the end
