Hi everyone,
I am getting ready to sell off most of my collection. Not looking to advertise.
What I am trying to do, however, is to figure out the most economical way to ship MOC figures. I would be shipping mostly Jakks, Toy Biz, and Hasbro figures.
Are there small boxes that are sold, perhaps in bulk, that anyone here uses when they sell? What is the best way to ship more than one figure? Obviously, larger packages can be more expensive to ship. Do you bubble wrap the MOC figures before you pack them? Do you combine shipping rates? And what are the best ways to estimate shipping costs?
I bought a little scale but have no idea where to start the range in shipping prices for them.
Thanks for any help!

Probably USPS medium flat rate boxes. They are free at the post office. Several Hasbro MOC nicely packed will fit in one box.

Thank you, Kendo! Have you used any boxes that fit just one nicely? And about how much does it cost to ship? I've seen between $5-8 per figure. I most just want to get rid of a lot of this stuff and am willing to lose $.50 to $1.00 per item on shipping to make sure they sell for an OK price.

If you have a small scale already, you can print/pack/estimate/buy postage from home.
If you know the combined weight of the figure, box, and materials you can easily check on USPS or the UPS website to see what method would be cheapest if you have the buyer's address. If you're selling on eBay, it can calculate that for each buyer if you set it up when listing the figures. Generally, you can ship a small MOC figure (hasbros, bend 'ems, etc.) for about $4 after materials depending on the buyer's location, and the larger Jakks maybe a tad more.
For one or two figures, it was generally cheaper for me to buy my own supplies rather than using the Flat Rate boxes.
