What if mattel made a flashback set in elite than made a regular flashback set or two then another flashback instead of two per set or all the same repaints in elite

I think he's proposing that Mattel make a full Flashback Elite set, then go back to the standard Elite sets for a wave or 2 with 4 current Superstars and 2 Flashback's, then have another all FB wave, then go back to the standard 6 currett Superstars/2 FB format, etc. in other words, future waves something like
Elite 33 - 6 FB's Elite 34 - 4 Current, 2 FB's Elite 35 - 4 Current, 2 FB's Elite 36 - 6 FB's Elite 37 - 4 Current, 2 FB's Elite 38 - 4 Current, 2 FB's Elite 39 - 6 FB's
...continuing on from there.

One set of elites is 6 flashbacks no current guys. The next two sets of elites are all current guys and no flashbacks in the set. Kind of like series 23 but all flashbacks and no currents. Instead of possibly making a new flashback branch off set or keeping it one or two per set

Yes or take the FB out and make 6 current

They might as well bring back the Legends line if they are going to do that

Whatever gets me the maximum amount of Flashbacks /Legends annually, I will take it.

As much as I would like to see full waves of Flashbacks, or even a repackaged Legends line, it is evident that Mattel, retailers, or both are not on board. I could see Mattel working up to a full FB wave every now and then if the 4FB/2 figures I don't buy waves continue to be successful, but I don't think they would alternate waves with current elites.
Ideally, I would love to see something like what TRU had with the Classic Deluxe line, which came out 2-3 times per year, and was all Classics in the Jakks deluxe style. Could either be whatever the normal price point is for an Elite, or a PPV Elite comparable price with a Legends BAF, say, an announcer, manager/valet that some people are clamoring for.
The retailer doesn't have to be TRU either, WM and Target have both had exclusives in the past, and K-Mart is still the "official" toy dealer for WWE. If you really want to get crazy, I think an exclusive Hogan would look great at Walgreens next to Agent Venom and bloody Rick Grimes.

If the flashback series isn't happening, I don't think that's a bad idea, but I do like the diversity in each series even though I target flashbacks.

I like it but I think retailers like more current product instead of old people

That'd be a mighty big gamble to not have current elites for two months at retail. Lots and lots of little kids have birthdays in two months and I'm pretty sure they don't give a crap about Magnum TA.

It's fine the way it's now. No need for change.

I like to call those the money saving line since there's only 2 figures I DO buy.

I like it but I think retailers like more current product instead of old people This isn't the case. Flashbacks are always the first to sell from a fresh case. I honestly don't think any company cares who the characters are, but how hot of a seller they are. Look at TRU when Mattel first launched. Big selection. By Elite series 9, they shrunk the toy section for WWE. Now, it has nearly doubled in size. Of course, this is my experience in Florida TRU's. Wrestling is a hot commodity right now. The Network is opening new eyes to old characters. Now is the time to strike. Re-Branding the Legends line as a Flashback line with HUGE names in its first few sets will make it sell. Turn them into hot items, causing stores to restock more ofton. Thus raising demand. More demand means more figures. More names being produced means we have a larger amount of Legends / Flashbacks. The ball is not only in Mattels court, but ours. Support the line and buy one of each! Resell then if you don't want them, but support the line, and we could all come out happy!

I do thank people like you for eventually buying up all the junk I don't want though. I sometimes envy fans of Cena/Orton/Del Rio/Sheamus/Mysterio. You can always walk into a store and buy a figure of your guy.
