I was legitimately a big Brian Kendrick fan as a kid. I made him WWE Champion on both SVR 09-10 and made him on SVR 06 with London (I played that until those games because I hated 07 at the time and 08 was garbage) and he's still one of the longest reigning champions in my figure fed.
That being said, he had a lot of ring rust. I hope he sticks around, because he can be amazing when he's motivated and in the zone.

Riley is a former FCW Champion. I guess we don't talk about that anymore haha.
Loved Rhyno's promo. Felt old school and he was on point.
Owens on commentary really helped move the match along honestly. TBK went to that chin lock too much in the middle of the match but then maybe that was the intent since we were focused on the confrontation between Riley and Owens anyway. They had some nice spots in the last 2-3 mins and it finally hit the mark for me. I loved how they had Balor escape the SB#2 spot. You had to figure TBK was losing but it was cool they teased his finish. The ending with Owens tossing Riley and the stare down was great. I love that type of ending.
Loved BL getting a win. Pretty hard to hug with one arm...
First, I'm happy to have Tom Phillips back. I'm disappointed it didn't work out on Smackdown, but having him on NXT is great. My favorite play by play guy in WWE. If only he were still with Regal.
Fun short match between Bull and Hideo to start things off. I know people here don't like Bull, but I'm a fan. He's a good old school bruiser. And while he's not the best, and would ever be a world champ, I like seeing him around. Iloved the attack after and Tyler's look upon seeing Hideo back up in the phone.
That video package reminded me how much i've really missed Kendrick in WWE. I like that they're building him up a little through the show.
Nice seeing Crowe cut into the show for his promos.
Has Jordon gotten bigger? Graves thinks so.
Good tag match. I like when Lucha Dragons can show off their tag team moves and they did some nice ones tonight. I'm a little disappointed they split Dillinger and Jordan. I wonder if this is the start to them making Shoot nation a thing on TV though.
Nice promo from Finn. I'm not a fan of that new interviewer though. He seems way too casual. "Do you have just a second, man?"
If his partner leaving wasn't bad enough, he had to face Baron Corbin... Poor Ty Dillinger.
I don't like Bayley just tossing out the hair bands. I liked her giving them to kids a la Bret Hart. Becky's headbanging looks weird too. Either way they had a very good match. I love how Bayley has evolved as a character since her debut. And I love the women's division in NXT.
Nice little promo from Rhyno. I really like seeing him here.
The spotlights cued to Finn's music makes me excited every time. I'm super hyped for this main event. Owens on commentary is also is nice.
Very good main event. Far too much showing the commentary table while Owens was there though. I like what they were saying, but showing it wasn't important. Also, how did they miss that Kendrick was faking the injury? Man, that was a rough tiger suplex. I had completely forgotten that he changed the name of The Sliced Bread #2 to The Kendrick during his last run with WWE. Balor's foot stomp is amazing. I'm really pleased with that match and hope it's not the last we see of Kendrick in NXT. Maybe with these returns we can get Paul London to make an appearance too.
Interesting finish to the show. Man, Owens is so great at conveying a lot with a little.
See you next week guys. One of these days I'll hopefully be on at 9 again so I can spread this over multiple posts instead of all at once.
So...Itami vs Dempsey...why? What was to be gained from this (due to the way the match was booked)? Also, I saw some guy in the crowd mouth the word sh*t as Bull's entrance started...hilarious...the match was short and ruined VOCIFEROUSLY by the banal and sheer desperate shilling of Dempsey by my mate@ryanzimmerman11's least favourite WWE employee, Alex Riley...the post-match stuff with Breeze was good; and nice to see the continuity stemming from the #1 contender's tournament episode where Itami and Breeze initially faced.
Tom Phillips and Corey Graves on commentary - great, not a problem. Alex Riley on the other hand...
The video package for 'The' Brian Kendrick was great, astounding to think he was part of the first ever ROH main event...
Cue the tag match (for some reason; not sure why these guys are facing) Lucha Dragons and the 'Blue Chip Athletes' or whatever Alex Riley was trying to shoehorn them as...good to see Lucha Dragons smoother and more cohesive than they were at Rival, but the focus here was for whatever reason, Dillinger said 'Relax' and this was grounds for Jordan to leave Jordan to fend for himself...right, okay...it is what it is...
...and of course Dillinger is upset, but makes the mistake of incurring the wrath of Goldberg Baron Corbin...good one...
Not a fan of Devin Taylor...Charlotte's promo was good; and to the point.
As for Tyler Breeze, this dude has been winning me over time and time again for his believability as this selfie-obsessed t**t...I love how on The Kevstaaa's 411 NXT report he says 'He (Tyler Breeze) calls Hideo Itami in a cockroach...loved it Kev! (seriously though, great writeup as usual mate)
Ah...the topic of the moment; the fairer sex, and it is here, on NXT, where these talented young ladies shine - by virtue of...yes, that's right - wrestling. Both Bayley and Becky have impressed me lately (Bayley moreso) but with the exception of Becky's utterly ridiculous and out of place 'headbanging/windmilling' and 'devil horns' , Becky was very good here...the story with the arm near the end and Becky's brilliant twist into hyperextending Bayley's arm was pleasantly surprising...
Great old-school promo from Rhyno; like Charlotte's it was to the point, made sense and was delivered well.
Wow...this guy...paint or not, either Prince Devitt or Finn Balor; Fergal Devitt is awesome; has been for years and I'm so stoked he's doing great things in NXT...
Great to see The Kendrick; he fooled me the bastard - I thought he actually buggered his ankle due to the angle of how he vaulted back in...
Owens on guest commentary was good; his conviction is truly second to none...things like just staring at his opponents he has a fantastic handle on...
Solid match between Balor and Kendrick, built nicely and the Stomp at the end was brilliant...
Owens attacking Riley was great, I selfishly wanted him to follow it up with something else, but it did the job regardless...
Decent episode, looking forward to next week's with Sasha against Charlotte in the rematch.

Yeah, I forgot to mention Breeze attacking Itami, which was great. The fans were quick as a whip with the ugly stick chants too. And then also the Crowe promo/vignette. That was very Raven-esque. So I absolutely loved that feel.
Decent show last night although I was a little disappointed in the Kendrick match. However, even an average episode of NXT is better than anything the main roster is doing.
So the old lady did some research during the show and found out why Baron Corbin's stomach looks the way it does. I guess he used to be a lineman for the Cardinals and was MUCH heavier.
There will be no fixing that stomach without surgery.
This is how awful he looked when he was first signed:

This is exactly the same problem that Roman has. He was much larger for Football and like you said not much is going to help that.
Crazy that nobodys brought up Corbin's football past before. Guess he didnt last very long.
Edit: Also that pic of Corbin when he first signed gives me hope i could get to the WWE some day, god damn lol.

Actually I don't think Roman has/had such a problem getting in shape like Baron does:
