Maybe it's just me but, I still don't see how he was being treated so badly. That's the thing, CM Punk was never treated badly, per se. However, Punk always said that he wanted to be the best and be the top guy. He knows that the WWE never planned on making him THE guy. Yes, he got an awesome 434 day reign as WWE Champion. However, during that time he barely main evented PPVs and had to drop the title to a part-timer like the Rock, so they could go through with Cena & Rock again. He was the best thing going for over a year, but wasn't good enough to be a WrestleMania main event. Then he returned as a face and was in pointless feuds with Curtis Axel and Ryback. He wasn't happy because Punk wanted more than most people. Is that bad of him? Maybe.

I'm honestly shocked he didn't throw Punk under the bus. You know…like he does with everyone.

Personally I still believe there is more to this story than any of us will ever know. Rumors were WWE wanted another Summer of Punk storyline. And the next thing you know he's gone. I'm hoping WWE granted Punk time off and he will return sometime this Summer.

Maybe it's just me but, I still don't see how he was being treated so badly. Because WWE put the bigger-star, draw-more-money talents in main events when Punk wanted to be in the main events. In those interviews he did just before he walked out, it seemed clear that he realised he was never going to be John Cena or The Rock, that his time had been and gone and he'd effectively already been replaced by Daniel Bryan.

IMO he was still heavily favored and was never booked to look weak. A feud with Bryan was immanent. And could have potentially have Main Evented WM31. But as I was saying earlier, you can't Main Event sh*t from your couch.

But as I was saying earlier, you can't Main Event sh*t from your couch. He could have actually main evented 31, that's the irony of it all. But he was past his prime anyhow and had started to perform poorly, it's worked out better for everyone that he chose the couch.

I liked Punk a lot, but I've lost interest in talking about him anymore.

That's just how a banged up, unmotivated wrestler performs.

All Kevin Nash ever cared about in his wrestling career was money . . . he never cared about the business. Even now all he talks about in retrospect of his career is making money . . . Punk will be back . . . Just like HBK, Jericho and everyone who is away from the business he will get the itch to return and when he does . . I will explode!

Honestly, I think he did what he had to do. I don't know the whole story behind why he left, and quite frankly, it's none of my business.
I seriously doubt he's hurting for money (no alimony, child support, etc.) and I hope he's happy doing whatever he's doing.
More power to him.

Yes. The years of injuries caught up with him, his body wasn't handling it anymore and working hurt like it used to, and he had lost the momentum and drive. He accepted that he wasn't ever going to make the great changes he'd promised, and that Daniel Bryan had more of a chance at changing things than he did. His career was on the downswing, he admitted as much -- hell, he admitted even for years before that that he probably wouldn't be able to do it past his mid-thirties.

There is no way he's going to let the last image of CM Punk be, getting chokeslammed by Kane through an announce table.

CM Punk brought the WWE back to life in 2011. I think he wants to be shown more respect for what he has done and all he has sacrificed to put himself in that spot. And when you feel like something isnt fun anymore or like it doesnt make you happy then its time to walk away. thats what he did.

It's not a money thing punk loves the attention and once everyone starts to forget him and not mention him he'll pop up again.

He wasn't happy because Punk wanted more than most people. Is that bad of him? Maybe. The first thing that popped into my mind when I read this was...think of how many sh*t sandwiches Undertaker had to eat through the years.
