The only thing that kept CM Punk around all those years was his love for wrestling. I just don't think he does anymore, and if that is the case, why stick around?

money, love of wrestling, injury..whatever, decide 100 per cent.. you either honour your contract, or you quit, you let the fans know and your boss know...i find it pretty ridiculous, that his future is still "unkown" after so many months

Maybe it's just me but, I still don't see how he was being treated so badly.

He wasn't being treated badly, but they weren't going out of their way to give him any breaks.. Well they usually don't come sometime after Mania anyways. He may have had one just like he did after his match with Taker. He's just burnt out, and I don't think he wanted any post Wrestlemania greatness. As far as I know the only thing he has left that he truly wants to do in wrestling is main event a Wrestlemania.. So it was main event 'Mania or bust. He probably won't come back for anything less than that guaranteed. Like Nash said, Punk is smart.. He might have gone about it wrong, but he'll get what he wants eventually.. I can almost promise it's going to work out for everyone when this whole fiasco is in the past. CM Punk, the WWE, and the fans will love the ultimate outcome.

Nobody really knows yet. Obviously money isn't going to be an issue for him ever, but this is the longest break he's had from wrestling since he started training, right? So maybe he'll start missing it, or maybe he'll realise he's happier without it.

Again, we don't know why he left in the first place. So we can't make assumptions on his character because of it.
I think it's long been known that Punk isn't a dummy when it comes to money. And I think it's pretty friggin' obvious he wasn't in the wrestling business "for the money"

He'll get bored. The free hockey tickets will stop rolling in some day.

Maybe the WWE can make a Self Destruction of CM Punk DVD, release it, kiss and make up, wrestle a few more years, then induct him into the Hall Of Fame?

I think this is something we've all sort of understood. Punk has said for awhile now he could walkaway at any point and never have to work another day in his life. That was before this last contract, when he seemingly made more money than he ever had in his career. It's not the money I'm expecting to see drive him back, and it never has been imo. He's still chasing that WrestleMania main event though, and my hope is that it's something he can't end his career without doing. That's what I want to see drive him back and I want him to do it as the top heel in the company.

Seeing as how Punk lives in an apartment building, I'd say he has a pretty simple lifestyle compared to say, John Cena's after the house that was shown on Total Divas.

I think he has more than 5 million.
Salary, Merch, PPV Bonuses, Extra Appearences, Autograph and Photo Ops at Comicons. Bonus for the video games.
He's been in WWE since 2008? that's 6 years of making big money.
If he is as smart as everyone says he is I'm sure he has investments too.

Can we not have a CM Punk Embargo? At least until there's some conclusive info on what's going on? (No Disrespect to OP)

I think he will be back eventually. Love of things tends to get reignited after a while whether you've made your money or not. Once that fire I relit he will be back.
