If I had to chose one I would go with 12 inch. I saw the huge Cena the other day and it's just too much.

31 inch because they're unique and different and have never been done before

The quality of the 31" figure is superb. That cena is one of the favorite figures that I own.

12. But, 31's would only be cool with certain characters.

The 12 inch figures are far more practical but you can't deny the detail in the 31-inch Cena... The 12" figs pale in comparison there.

What the am I going to do with a 31" figure? 12 is honestly too tall for my liking but at least it's more reasonable to find a spot for on a shelf. Those 31" figures are like things you pose and put in your front yard. You want to see Superman dropkick 31" John Cena and then bitchslap your Santa Claus yard ornament? Right on.

I own both and I would say the 31nch is far more detailed n better quality, I opened all 5 12inch figures last weekend and was disappointed with how cheap and light the figure is.jakks 12inch ringside rebels would destroy the current 12inch figures.i still will keep collecting both but just giving you feedback.

of those two lines the 12" is better. At 31" I expect way more articulation than 7 or 8 poa. A 31" figure should at least have hinged hips along with elbow and knee articulation.

What's being missed here is everyone is talking about the quality. Imagine a high quality 12 inch fig.

12 inch because they're easier to handle, I guess. I'm fine with both 12 and 31 inch figures though.

What's being missed here is everyone is talking about the quality. Imagine a high quality 12 inch fig. The problem with highly detailed figures, like Hot Toys, is that you isolate your consumer market and prevent your customer base from buying a collection of characters over-and-over. I can afford to buy every Macho Man that comes out for between $10-30 a piece or whatever, but at $350 a pop I'd be lucky to own one. The margin is smaller for Mattel with smaller figures, but they are able to move insanely large volumes. Hot Toys, and highly detailed $300 12" figures in general, are a niche market that the average parent with a kid isn't going to buy. The cheap, all plastic, 12" figures, that seem to be all the rage with superhero characters as well, are figures that a parent can buy for $10-15, whatever they are, and get multiple guys. "John Cena and an Alberto Del Rio to stomp a mud hole in for $20? My kid will love that!" So we have to keep in mind who the target demographic is on this kind of stuff. I personally want statuettes in the way of Unmatched Fury. That was probably my favorite line by any company ever. I only display figures so that kind of thing really appeals to me and they still remain some of the best likenesses of anything we've seen for a lot of guys to this very day imo. So when Mattel shows off stuff like the Punk and Randy Orton statue it gets me all fired up. The McFarlane deal would have been awesome, had they not been doing this expensive exclusive deal. I love that Macho Man, but I'm never going to buy it. Something similar for $20-30 would be a guaranteed pick up for me. So I fall between casual consumer, and not hardcore enough about that kind of thing to make me happy with what is out there. I get why someone like Mattel wouldn't invest in "top shelf" collector items though that lack little desire from the under 12 crowd.

But I think they could get to $200 and they may sell a few more pieces. I'm talking like 3-4 figures per year. Example...Hogan- comes with '86 Hogan Belt, Winged Eagle Belt, Weightlifting Belt, Fists, cupped hands, bandana x 2, shirts x2, trunks x2. Would be amazing
