At Mattel's current pace, how many elite sets will they make before their second contract is up? I estimate we'll be somewhere around elite 50-55. Am I off?
With that said, how many flashbacks will we see in the elite line before the end of the contract?

I'd bet somewhere around 50-60.

Whatever the number may be, I hope they slow down releasing sets a bit. It becomes hard to find all of the elite sets at retail. Then retailers start skipping series sets around my area to catch up when they can't sell
all the product they have for awhile. I have to pay bills and other obligations before figures, so it would also be a big help on my wallet. I am behind tons of guys I really want. Now I refuse to pay scalper prices
online.

I think mattel will keep the rights to do figure for awhile. I don't think there is a toy company that can do better then what there doing.

Well, if you figure they do about 6-7 sets a year and we are going to hit Elite 31 by October/November and possibly Elite 32 by the end of this year on RSC, we coud estimate that they will release about 30-32 sets in the next 5 years. Add in the 2 BOPPV sets a year and that brings it up to 40-42. If they decide to do anymore Wrestlemania sets or anything like that, I would safely guess that in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 we will get anywhere between 40 and 50 elite sets.

Let's just keep them comming. Hard to imagine how large some of our collections will be when it is all said and done. My space is just about tapped the way it is....

Mattel has made the best wrestling figures I've seen in the WWE line my entire life. I doubt another company can improve on it. Even when I was collecting Jakks DA's, I was like "Man, they could fix this and this and this". I've never said that with Mattel. I hope the contract never comes to a close and it's just a partnership that gets better and better.

I wish I wouldn't of stopped collecting. I have a big gap in my collection. I had some of the Elites from the Legends line, and then a few here and there, but stopped.. I started collecting a bit again last year but now I'm starting to get hooked again!
Hopefully 47-54 range by the next contract renewal.

Mattel is as good as it gets both in reputation (Barbie/Hot Wheels) and quality for action figures made for just that: action. Other companies have better details, but those are statues. The WWE has been marketing toys since before I was old enough to speak in complete sentences. They will continue to do so. If the WWE lets the Mattel contract expire, I don't see where they'll go from there.
