If somebody says it's fake just say- how bout you go through a table or jump off a titantron- didn't think so. You know those are breakable tables and jumping off the Titontron is a planned stunt they take precautions with, right? Watch Sabu vs. Scorpio on Raw in 1996 to see what happens when a real table is involved. If it were real, Mae Young would've died when the Dudley Boyz put her through a table. Just because it's fake doesn't mean it isn't relevant, entertaining, or athletic. It has it's dangers, but so do movie stunts, and no one argues about how those are real. That being said, the idea that any of us care that it's not real is ridiculous. It's the only argument a non-wrestling fan has against us to make themselves seem superior, but wrestling being fake has been admitted public knowledge by wrestlers since the 80s. Hell, even some of Punks promos basically come out and say so. Essentially, it's a jackass's method of trying to be superior, but not realizing he's trying to bring you down by letting you know the tooth fairy doesn't exist. We know, and we're okay with that.

Not 'fake' it's predetermined.
When somebody says it's fake, just say "So are your wife's/girlfriend's orgasms"

Not 'fake' it's predetermined. When somebody says it's fake, just say "So are your wife's/girlfriend's orgasms" No, it is fake AND predetermined. Those aren't mutually exclusive. Predetermined means, as a wrestler, you know it's coming. "When we get out there, I'm going to kick you really hard in the nuts." It's fake when he doesn't actually kick him in the nuts and the other guy PRETENDS like he did. It would be predetermined and real if a guy said, "I'm going to kick you really hard in the nuts" and he actually kicked him really hard in the nuts. When Goldust hit "shattered dreams" the other guys obviously wore a solid cup in anticipation in case of an accident, but they PRETENDED like they didn't, and Goldust's foot actually kicked them more in the bottom butt or thigh than the groin. Wrestling is fake AND scripted. Just like Hollywood. Just like "reality" TV. Does that make them any less entertaining? No. But people who go around saying "wrestling isn't fake, it's ______" make other wrestling fans look bad. Just admit it and be okay with it. How come boxers and MMA guys almost always get bruised and bloodied in their matches? Black eyes, swollen cheeks. They need months between fights to recover. But WWE guys take 10 straight ungloved punches in the corner while the crowd counts off "1, 2, 3, 4" etc. but at the end of the match, their faces are almost always pristine, unless they accidentally hit someone which happens. But accidents happen when filming movies, too. That doesn't make them real. And WWE guys fight every week. People die or go into comas when three people jump them and kicked them while they're on the ground. But in the WWE, that guy is as good as new the next week, and sometimes just an hour later. Why? Because it's FAKE! But that's okay.

There's a reason why it's called and I quote "World Wrestling Entertainment" It's entertainment and nothing else. It's not 'fake'. If they wrestled in a real match, they'd be luck to not have lost a tooth and bleed constantly. They are trained professionals

Not 'fake' it's predetermined. When somebody says it's fake, just say "So are your wife's/girlfriend's orgasms" I usually tell them wrestling's as fake as Lego Customs girlfriend. So its pretty fictitious.

You see I hate to use the word fake. I prefer the term scripted over fake for it's no different than a movie; everything is pre planned, however accidents can happen. So fake; no, so printed yes and that's the entertainment aspect

I prefer the term scripted over fake for it's no different than a movie; everything is pre planned, however accidents can happen. So fake; no, so printed yes and that's the entertainment aspect I get the negative stigma with the word "fake," but the fact is, it is fake. You say it's no different than a movie, and movies are fake. (Unless they're documentaries, that is, and even some of those are debatable.) The problem is people simply see it as authentic vs. fake, but the truth is fact vs. fiction, and nearly every aspect of wrestling is fiction, from the moves to the storylines to the characters. That doesn't mean it doesn't take a level of athleticism that most don't have and never would, regardless of the amount of training they do. If it were simply scripted rather than fake, punches would really connect. They don't, which is why it's fake. It doesn't make it any less entertaining or worthwhile, but it is, in fact, fake.
