Absolutely. With the exception of a God awful Starrcade match with Hogan. All of Sting's memorable career moments came in his surfer look. All but I think 2 Titles wins, one of which is forgettable and the other as I said was god awful, were as Surfer Sting. His US Title reigns. Feuds with Flair, Muta, Koloff and Luger were as Surfer Sting as well as his feud with Vader. People seem to mix up "recent" with "iconic" Ok, that's your opinion and I can respect that. I disagree, that is all. Fair enough my friend.

Give me a Hulk Rules era Hulk Hogan with removable headband and the winged eagle title and then we'll talk about the 400 Surfer Sting attires I want to see them do.

Just give me multiple Surfer Stings and I wont ask for anything else. Surfer Sting is the "Iconic" look so he should be at the very top of the list. This, so much.

If he has indeed signed with WWE, i'd buy any and all Sting figures, especially if they were elite.

I don't think I have a specific surfer look that I want to see him in. I'll buy whichever one they put out.
But the crow is the one I care about the most. I hope they do his initial look with the cut off shirt style top and not the layer singlet style top.
Plus Wolfpac, I'll probably buy that one too, but without Konnan, getting the rest wouldn't really matter. Considering how much they love Mach, I'm surprised we don't have him in his Wolfpac duds already.

He's not signed yet. He's got the paperwork but has yet to put pen to paper and send it back to WWE. credit Dave Meltzer

this back and forth thing with sting is really making me not care to see him in the wwe, between that and the warrior thing, i'm just not excited to see him anymore.... i dont know all the terms, but just sign or dont, Sting isnt a megastar anymore, he WAS one of the best but he ruined himself in tna because he didnt want to join wwe, so suck it up Crowman, and sign the effin paper

He can always say he never "competed" in the WWE. He can still sign on as a guest announcer, manager, DVD host, whatever. Most important to me are his figures, followed second by a nice comprehensive DVD, and then some shirts and such and I'll be happy. He is a top 10 legend in my opinion. He and Flair were WCW. I don't think you can deny that. I just wish he had a chance at some of the WWF's biggest stars during his prime and in the late 90s. It's too bad one of the greatest of all time never got a Wrestlemania moment or got a crack at some legendary gimmicks like The Rock, Stone Cold, Undertaker or HBK even though all of them plus Sting were still doing great matches into the late 90s. Oh well . . . Just give me the officially licensed stuff!

I think we can all agree that his first figure should undoubtedly be his TNA Joker look. Including a non-removable t-shirt and unfounded sense of accomplishment.

I think the essential Surfer Sting looks are...
-Great American Bash '90 (Blue tights, white boots, stars & stripes face paint & scorpion)
-Halloween Havoc '90 (Neon Pink tights, black boots, black scorpion, pink/black paint)
-Starrcade '90 (Neon green tights, green boots, black scorpion, black/green paint)
To me those three are "musts" for Elites. When it comes to basics you can start throwing in his looks like the purple & yellow WCW look, Starrcade '89 black & Yellow look (like his galoob figure)
Also a Sting vs Black Scorpion is a must...I mean cmon, who doesnt want a Black Scorpion?

I think the fact that people are debating about which Sting should come first (Surfer or Crow) shows how iconic both are. I don't care which is first in elite form so long as we got both. I would love USA Sting but not as his first elite. If I had to choose one elite surfer it would be either the neon green look or black and yellow. But I'd buy any surfer look, including his late surfer look with longer, darker hair just before he disappeared and reemerged with the black and white. He had this look in the Hogan heel turn match.
I want debut crow Sting the most of all dark looks, with a trench coat and baseball bat.

Crow sting all the way. That was his most iconic look.
