Please visualize this: I feel like I just want to pick Rey up and walk. Walk for hours. All while still holding him like a stack of logs. Till I find a river. Once I get to the river I just want to walk into it waste deep and gently let him go. Let the current wash him out to sea where we will never see him again. I walk back out of the water and we all share a look. And then back to business as usual. That was beautiful. Thank you. It felt right.

If people can make fun of Kevin Nash for tearing his quad then it's ok to make fun of Rey and his knee.

Just put someone else under the mask. Seems to be the thing to do.

Its sad that we all expect something so serious to happen. Its time to hang up the boots. There's nothing left to prove.

I'll quote a guy who was sitting in the same section somewhere behind me at the Rumble when Rey entered the match
"Retire already"

Time for some Rey jokes-
-Rey's knees are about as weak as Shaq's free throw percentage.
-Rey's knees are about as sad as the crowd was when he entered in at #30 in the Rumble.
-Rey's knees are about as poor as Virgil.
-Rey's knees can go about as far as Kevin Nash's quad.

Rey Mysterio was one if not the best "Little Man" wrestlers of all time but DAMN he need to retire, same goes for Christian. Both men are now 40 and over the past two in a half years have had one injury after another and have only actual wrestle 6 to 8 months in that time span.Their bodies are breaking down and they just don't have anything left to give.
Rey's had a hell of a career and has been wresting for 25 years now or damn near close to it,hang up the boots and spend time with the family. He's had a hall of fame career,is one if not the biggest star ever from Mexico, had legendary matches and feuds both in WWE and WCW and also was a huge star in both promotions.
He should if heathy enough retire at Wrestlemania xXx against another star whos leaving in Alberto Del Rio or a returning Chris Jericho, whom really is the last guy left that can still go from the old school WCW crusieweight division from the old WCW,which would be fitting sense those type of matches and feuds are what put him on the map on a national stage.

This is why Shawn Michaels went out on top. So few guys who have really earned the right to go out in grandiose fashion get the chance to actually do it. Rey hasn't been normal since like 2010. I respect him for trying to get back and entertain us again but everybody has limitations. He's been defying those limitations his entire life and it finally caught up to him physically. Guy isn't much use to his kids if they have to push him around in a wheelchair the rest of his life.

That is what he gets for wearing Baby Blue attire. Seriously, every time he wears it, he gets injured, storyline or not.

I've always been a big Rey Mysterio fan, but I seriously have to question what keeps the guy going at this point. Be it that he needs the money or just plain loves performing that much... Either way, it seems time that he seriously reevaluates things a bit. If this latest injury is serious, perhaps it's time he hangs up the mask for good. Even with modern medical advancements, you can only repair a knee so many times. I'd hate to see Mysterio (or any wrestler) for that matter end up in a wheel chair for the rest of his life because he didn't know when enough was enough. Rey Mysterio has nothing left to prove. If he retires today, he'll undoubtedly go down as one of the very best of all time. He's already done everything there is to do, most of which a few times over. It'd be sad to see him walk away, but I'd rather see him do it while he can still actually walk.

dunno how much stock i take in this "report", normally with legit injury news about anyone, PWInsider is all over it. There is nothing about Mysterio getting hurt there. If he took his brace off, maybe it locked up on him...maybe it pinched his skin hard. Until I see it on WWE.com or it's announced on RAW I doubt he's really hurt

Such a shame. It's very sickening hearing people make jokes about this.
Rey is a true innovator of pro wrestling. He did stuff in the 90's and early 2000's that nobody had ever seen before. His style is unique and amazing. He's put on classics with Guerrero, Jericho, Angle, Punk, Malenko, and the list goes on. I'll go out on a limb and say he's one of the greatest performers in the ring. First ballad hall of fame career.
Let's not forget about the connection he has with the younger audience. His connection with them is special. One of the only kid friendly characters that is also a top notch performer.
That being said, Rey's body can't hang anymore. I dont know if it's financial issues or not wanting to let go that is making him stick around. He needs to ride off now before its too late.

Rey Mysterio is to wrestlers what the spanish announce table is to tables. This wins the thread.
