a priority mail flat rate box full of beads. Excuse me? for making necklaces and stuff. I've got 4 young nieces. So since it's been a talking point lately about the PPV and people "not having plans set in stone", I'm just going to throw this out there.. There is an opening in my storyline. It's "throw an interchangeable wrestler in" opening, but an opening none the less. My original plan isn't going to pan out the way I wanted to and while I can still go with it, I'd rather have a competitive match at the PPV if I could. So if anyone's been following my storyline in show and thinks "yeah, I could see my character getting involved with that" shoot me a line, and I'll give you the gist of the role.

JD, I'll let you know in a bit if I need anything. Just a heads up to all - because of the schedule and mine, the dates of eligibility are going to be a bit weird on this, but rather than just doing a calendar year, I'd like to cut it a bit early and do something really fun with it. Consider this a more "kayfabe" version of what's normally done, with the same intent of rewarding everyone's hard work. Everyone is going to be given the opportunity to contribute/participate in a way that ultimately makes this a real collaborative show, just like our regular events. Stay tuned. I'm really excited to be doing this. Out of interest, is this still happening?

I'm still planning on doing this, probably shortly after "The Clash", since that's looking to be sort of this year's bookend. On that - I tried over the weekend but I'm only so good with Photoshop. Someone needs to make a poster for The Clash riffing on either the London Calling or the self titled album cover.

You got the logo and....yeah, the logo.
That looks like a weird take on the art from Steve Earle's Copperhead Road.

I'm actually not that familiar with the singles, at least their individual releases. Combat Rock was kinda weak, to me. I'm hesitant to see what didn't make the cut.
In spite of all this talk of good music like Steve Earle and The Clash, I'm still gonna get that new Slipknot album tomorrow because 15 year old me refuses to curl up and die already.

First of all the theme for the PPV is actually going to be "The Damned - New Rose" as they were considered The Clash's rivals back at the start of their career. It was waaaay too obvious to have it actually as a Clash tune. So I actually want to avoid any further reference to The Clash beyond the PPV name as a sort of tongue in cheek thing. Also I listened to the new Slipknot thing and it's pretty damn sh*te. Too much Corey Taylor/Stonesour whiney singing for my tastes. I was really hoping after that p*ss poor last album that they'd return to their heavier sound but it seems there's literally only one track (The Negative One) on the album that fits that criteria at all.

I dug it. I still have one track left to listen to on the ride home today, and I'll probably give it another spin after that just to be sure, but I think I like it a lot. I was the biggest Slipknot dork in high school (my first AFRWF pic base was Corey Taylor), and I never really grew out of them so much as continued to make room for them. The sound, to me, falls somewhere between the self titled and Vol. 3. I like it better than Iowa, but they're never going to reinvent the wheel that was their debut. On first listen, I'd rank it a solid 2 behind S/T. 1. Slipknot 2. .5: The Gray Chapter 3. Iowa 4. All Hope is Gone 5. Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses

I've always been of the mind set that they've gone down hill bit by bit with each album. I just like the dark and brooding sh*t, none of this overtly American whiny singing. All of my favourite tracks of theirs are the weirder, eerier ones like the the title track on Iowa, Scissors, Purity, Skin Ticket etc.
I saw them play twice 10 years ago, when they were touring Subliminal Verses, and at one of the gigs they actually played the full 15 minute version Iowa which I never expected at all as it's hardly a crowd pleaser but it was something I'll never forget.

Something along the lines of him in front of a wooden wall with the words 'death is just the beginning' on the wall in a blood looking font. Thanks.

What in the blue blazes happened to Kyle Matthews there?
Also, per my experiment with trying to make a poster the other day - did Josh Farro just have this thing about not being photographed until after he cut his hair? Was the haircut something that like coincided with his ouster from Paramore? I mean, 'cause I guess that'd make sense - not wanting to be photographed, lest someone finds out that you're a current member of Paramore.
But seriously though, unless you want action shots of Joe Bishop playing guitar and doing stage acrobatics, it's damn near impossible to give the guy a range of image.

Prince Devitt has limited non-paint renders. I thought Kyle with a heel turn could add a bit of that paint? Meh, it worked in the photo. And yeah, Farro with long hair is impossible to find good quality images for. That cutout is the best image I could find of long-haired Farro. Somebody should challenge Bishop to a hair vs hair match. xD

I actually don't know who Kyle's pic base is. Is that something he does?

Prince Devitt, recently signed with WWE, was a major star in New Japan. He lead the Bullet Club stable.
The paint was a staple of his before he got signed. It's usually comic inspired, including The Joker and Spiderman.

I'm the worst wrestling fan ever. I cling to my religion (ECW) and my guns (1997-2000).

I just read up on that dude and the name McMahon & Co. have slapped him with. If homeboy isn't one half of a poorly conceived tag team with Sheamus called something stupid like "The Fellas" in a year's time, I'll eat my hat.
