So there was the brown shirt Skinner we saw in advertisements, where does this one fall in relation to that?

There not the same figures 😂😂 Probably are; a normal Skinner is grey under the green shirt; not brown...

Hahahaha so let me get this straight they made the proto for ad. Then shoot the ad. Then take it back to office and re-painted it, for no reason at all? That’s what you’d are saying. Somehow I’m just not buying it

Somehow I’m just not buying it Well if the directive came to change the color after the ad was shot it makes sense they would repaint the same prototype. Especially if the standard is gray underneath, and not brown.

Somehow I’m just not buying it Brown shirt Skinner ONLY appeared in the 1993 Toy Fair Catalog. In all other ads (the Undertake 'em all ad and the commercial with Macho Man) he had a green shirt...

Would you prefer if it were still brown, or do you like it how it is since that's a bit more unique? Either way is cool for its own reason.

I’ve always been a bit annoyed about the fact his shirt was green. If they didn’t want to waste money on making the checkered flannel effect, then it could have been blue based on what he wore most often. Flat green isn’t exactly synonymous with his attire. Anyway, nice proto.

Another excellent addition to your collection Zack, oops I mean Andy. This may not come out right and no disrespect to Zack. When I collected Hasbros it was awesome to add items to my collection piece by piece as there were not many known protos out there. Money was also a factor as not being Blessed in having a job that pays a whole lot, but we get by. Zack has the money and good fortune to find an unbelievable collection and no envy here. I'd buy that collection up if I was in his position in a heartbeat. Hasbrogiant, it's great to see these figures make it into your collection one by one. Keep them coming.

hasbrogiant you are the GOAT! I'd be interested in seeing a group photo of all your protos and test shots, seems you have one of almost everything ever made in this line!
