{BACKSTAGE}
Steve Austin is preparing himself as Vince gets him fired up, telling him he's got this. Austin says Rock has never beaten him before and it certainly won't happen tonight. Austin says he's going to whoop the Rock's (*bleep*) like he does every time they step in the ring and remain WWF Champion, and the same goes for anyone else who steps in the ring against him. Austin says Rock talks about having the People, but he doesn't need the People because he's the one who has the WWF Championship, and will continue having it for a long time. Vince then puts over Austin helping Triple H earlier, with Austin saying he only got involved because The Undertaker disrespected him, and no one gets away with disrespecting the WWF Champion, and that's the bottom line. Austin storms out as Vince proudly tells him to go get 'em.
The Rock is also shown heading to the ring as a video package is shown highlighting their feud.
