According to rumors, there were many matches planned for Wrestlemania 22, but due to different cirumstances, they couldn't happen. What do you think the Wrestlemania 22 card would have looked like if Eddie hadn't passed away and Batista hadn't gotten injured?
Kurt Angle recently said Taker wanted him to end the streak at Wrestlemania 22 and there have been rumors for a while that if Eddie hadn't passed, he would've faced HBK. Both matches would've been unbelievable. And with those two set, I'd imagine Orton vs Batista for the World Title was the plan and I figure Cena/HHH still would've happened.
Also, I wonder if there were plans for Hogan, since he was around but oddly not used. He spoke recently of plans to face Cena...don't know if that was to be at 22 or 24 or if Hogan is just talking out of his ass as he often seems to do. I also remember rumors of a match between Hogan and Shane, though I don't know if it was for WM 22. And of course rumors of the dream Hogan/Austin match started around WM 22. Don't know if that was because it was originally planned for the event or if they were trying to build something for WM 23.
What do you guys think?

There were plans for Hogan/Cena at WM25 and Hogan/Big Show at WM23. It'd be interesting to know if they had anyone planned for WM22.

You know how you hear rumors about Taker wanting Kane, HBK, or Triple H to end the streak? And they always say "oh no, I'm not going to be that guy" mostly out of respect to Taker? Could be wrong but, I have a hunch Kurt would have had no problem doing it.
HBK vs Eddie could have been great. But at least we were treated to the HBK/Angle match that was just fantastic from start to finish.
Why didn't we ever see a good Batista/Orton feud?

With Eddie/HBK, Taker/Angle, Batista/Orton, Cena/HHH, and Edge/Foley, that would no doubt be the greatest mania of all time.

Eddie/HBK was a dream match of mine for a long time, and that would have stolen the show no doubt. If Angle/Taker had the same match they did at NWO 06 at Mania instead, and Cena/HHH, the Money in the Bank and Foley/Edge remained, it definitely would be ranked as one of the best.
