I have a large amount of Elites with a decent amount of basics thrown in. I've experimented with only selling a few in lots but i'm considering move my whole collection out in one go.
Is this a bad idea.
I'll break down my collection abit to give you an idea of what i have.
E7 HBK and HHH
E4 Jerichos
E7 Kidd
L3 Rock
TRU Rock
E16 Rock
All Warriors
Most Savages
Rockers
and a ton more.
I'm afraid to put them on Ebay and make chump change. What is a collection like this worth?
If you've sold a bigger collection please let me know how it turned out for you.

I haven't sold a lot of figures, but I see some on there that are people really want to get.

I would sell those as singles b/c they are all worth a few bucks each and those are the ones people want.

The prevailing wisdom seems to be that singles and small lots do the best. You will definitely get less if you sell as one large collection as you will lose out on people who do not want/need many of the figures, but are chasing a few of them. If you have the time, piece it out, if not, sell as a lot for the quick cash.
There are plenty of members here who would love to have your figures. I'm sure if you opened a thread in the Classifieds you could start it as a collection to see what kind of offers you get, or take offers on the figures individually. This will also help you avoid eBay fees which can cut into your profit.

Sold off about 70 Basics a few months ago and got a little over $500 for them all. More than what I thought I was going to get!

I have considered selling here. I posted a few figures a couple nights back.
But i've since decided to move all of my collection which is much bigger/nicer. So i needed some feedback on that. Some really helpful posts here!

I sold about 80% of my collection a while back and got $700 total. But that included the much-sought-after Raw and Smackdown tag titles, DX elite set of three, and others.
But I broke mine down into three lots: 1) Legends/Flashbacks/EG/DM, 2) Elites and a few basics (like Natalya), and 3) Jakks WWE/TNA/Rocky. I think selling them in multiple thematic lots will attract the niche collectors more than selling everything together, because if you do that people won't want to pay for a grouping of things they don't normally collect. I'd hate to feel forced to pay for 10 legends if all I want are 5 of your current elites.

There is quite a few figures on that list that a bunch of people would like to get ahold of on here. What I would do is look at some peoples wants list on the classifieds and try to move some of them that way. If that doesn't work then turn to eBay.

Regardless Mattel will get you big money right now. Hell I've sold several jakks lots on Ebay for over 100 bucks. The Mattels are5x as much right now. You'll make a pretty penny bro.

I've made a bit over 2 grand with various Elites and a few Basics in about 2 weeks. I normally put Elites at 10 and Basics at 5. Even if they sell at that price it's not a total loss. Put items you want to unload no matter what at .99 and just get them out of your storage unit. Haha.

i sold off my entire collection roughly 8 months ago (about 60 figures) on ebay in bunches of 5 for less wanted figures and seperately for rarer stuff and altogether got about $800 bucks. you are gonna get hosed either way but id suggest ebay for the rarer stuff and the rest of it in the classifieds here. you will have people looking to buy specific things and have an audience for the random stuff that ebay wont really help with.

It took me a couple months but I have sold over 50 mattel wrestling figures and I banked over 500 bucks on ebay. A lot were moc and I do loose lots as well.

If there is no rush piece them out individually. Will do world's better than lots and do not sell to a toy store they will have to make margin.

I should mention that my whole collection is loose! That might work to your advantage. Loose figs require much less space and, by extension, less shipping costs for online bidders. Just made sure to pack them well. My suggestion is take a lot of detailed pics for an Ebay auction, set it for 30 days at a set price and take offers. That way you'll be able to gauge interest in your collection without the danger of a winning lowball bid.
