"Royalties from the sale of toys increased 11%, or $0.6 million, reflecting the successful launch of our Brawlin' Buddies toy by Mattel."
Brawlin Buddies successful?
On the conference call, Vince said WWE has the #2 Action Figure line in the United States.

yet they keep increasing the price.....and telling us things aren't in their budget?
I'm almost certain that MDT is just 2 guys in a basement.......that Mattel forces to create WWE figures for their own profit and amusement

"Royalties from the sale of toys increased 11%, or $0.6 million, reflecting the successful launch of our Brawlin' Buddies toy by Mattel." Brawlin Buddies successful? Definitely. In the UK, they were the absolute hottest wrestling toy for Christmas, and sold out almost everywhere.

I cant speak for everyone but in this area brawlin buddies dont stay on the shelf.
just the other day my local walmart had 4 ryders, sheamus, rey and 2 kofi kingstons. all that is left now is 1 kofi and the sheamus.
These have been constantly stocked and fly off the shelves since november.

Eh, I can remember being younger and really wanting those attitude era buddies, so I definitely see the appeal. I had those WCW ones, with DDP, Savage, Hogan, Sting, etc. as well as the weird WWF ones with the plastic heads that hurt like a bitch when someone threw them at you.

Waits for that guy to come in and try to claim that Jakks UFC is out selling WWE Mattel.

I thought WWE passed Star Wars figure a while ago? I've seen Skylanders mentioned as the #1 seller. I never considered them as action figures but I guess they were the highest money maker for boy's toys.

I'm okay with Brawlin' Buddies since they're radically different from the Basics and Elites. The problem with Flexforce was that they were pretty much Basics with action features.

Yeah right. The extremely overpriced, shelfwarming pillows are totally responsible for the line's recent success . That is about as laughable as claiming Flex Force is your best selling line only to cancel it a few months later (and I am well aware that they were talking about sales to retailers, so save your lecture for someone who cares).

Profits are probably a lot higher on the junk toys. Less money and time to make them, thus higher profits which is a positive for Mattel.
