Went to my local Walmart and I saw this on the shelf for sale in disgust. Someone actually got away with this. I decided to have a little fun with it by showing it to an employee and just repeatedly said REALLY?!...REALLY?!...REALLY?!

Either the employee that accepted this as a return was dumb as hell or just didn't give a flying . It's a damn shame that stuff like this happens ...

Is it difficult to tell that the guy in the picture is not the toy inside?

Yes but there's nothing that can be done. That disgusting display is completely on Walmart and their lousy excuse of an employee. I've said it probably a million times, but these people that switch things out are lucky that I don't work returns. I'd call them out on their bullsh*t and those kind of returns wouldn't be processed. Of course there's probably some weird ass Walmart policy that prohibits that, knowing how they are as a company.

Of course there's probably some weird ass Walmart policy that prohibits that, knowing how they are as a company. That is most likely true, unfortunately. I've worked for many a company that would undoubtedly rather go bankrupt on satisfying garbage, than possibly lose one customer even though they cost the company by being there. It's a f'ed world we live in, and one that enables stupidity to thrive, hell rewards it for simply living. I infrequently go to the Wal-Mart in Mocksville, that's almost 50 minutes from where I live and I rarely am in that area. I went one year when they had the Defining Moments wave with Triple H, and someone had switched a flexforce Triple H into the box and scotch taped it back together. That's right, the cloudy scotch tape that no toy manufacturer on Earth has ever used. Even if i didn't know the product, when I go to give the guy $25 back, I'd use my noggin and realize that no store would ever sell something that s---ty for that much money. I took it to customer service so nobody who didn't know better would get duped with Christmas being so close at that point. Most places have a way of sending damaged or stolen goods back so I thought that was that. The shift who took it seemed genuinely concerned about the theft. Was that that? No, I came back a month later and the piece of s--- was back on the shelf again! How dense do you have to be? On a similar note, how do you not only look and see this isn't the right figure, but also that the box has been opened and taped back?

Its sad people can't just spend the 10$ for a figure and call it a day. They have to do this and screw A. the store and B. Collectors who really want the figure. Mattel needs to do something or the stores. I know TRU by me has pretty tough return policies when i returned stuff.

If you don't have $10 for a basic fig that you want, your priorities aren't in order. Small example of the trash in this world.

All that hassle for a $10 figure. The economy is really doing bad.

I'm just so glad that I haven't encountered this problem yet in my area....keeping my fingers crossed that I don't either.
