I remember watching Brock vs Cena at a house show in 2003 and Lesnar ing mauling Cena.
Cena was in no way anywhere near the standard Lesnar was either in the ring, with the fans or any other way you'd like to measure it.
Lesnar was the best.
I don't doubt, even for a second, that had he stayed in WWE, he'd have been the best of the last ten years. He would have been the poster boy of the noughties, not Cena.
Cena rose up to take the spot Lesnar left vacant and I believe he never would have made it anywhere near the top if Lesnar had stuck around.
Batista and JBL would never have risen up to the place they were in because, if HHH didn't want to perform on SD (and we know he didn't) Lesnar would have stayed there because HHH didn't want to work with him.
JBL would have retired years early and never would have gone on commentary because he wouldn't have had the chance to prove himself during his title reign on the mic.
Brock would have led the crusade against ECW in 2005 and it would have made a HUGE difference to the relaunch in 2006. He probably would have been put on the brand with Big Show, Angle and RVD because he was a Paul Heyman guy and would have added legitimacy to the brand. In which case, perhaps Angle wouldn't have left and the ECW championship would have mattered a great deal more.
Lashley would have been unnecessary so probably wouldn't have won the belt at the end of '06 so Heyman would have stuck around and kept creative control over ECW with Punk, Lesnar, Angle, Big Show and Rob Van Dam as his top guys. Leaving Raw for Edge and SmackDown for Benoit.
If Benoit had been on top of SmackDown and surrounded by the people he would have, he may not have been the monster he turned out to be in 2007.
ECW may have been the top rated brand of the trio which would have led to the dispersing of the top tier talent to RAW and SD and the dissolving of ECW into the crazy show it was but probably about eighteen months later than it did.
When HHH stepped away from in-ring competition/injury in 2006/2007, Lesnar would have moved to RAW and been king there for a while. He'd have ruled over all three brands at one point or another.
There's no way of knowing really though.
